The ortodox church was not adopted in Transylvania because in Midle Age only the western form of christianity was adopted in all Europe where the kingdoms were Romano-Catholics. The great part of Hungarians lived on Szeklerland and call themselves szeklers and they lived in very closed social community, they were the solider-hungarians and to preserve their laws didn't let to enter any individuals in their teritory...

Well the saxons and the szeklers built their settlements theyselves for theirselves. The other population the Hungarians outside from Szeklerland and the Romanians were in big part in bondage indiferent of nationality. But between them were nobles too. The ortodox church was not adopted in Transylvania because in Midle Age only the western form of christianity was adopted in all Europe where the kingdoms were Romano-Catholics. Hungary was a Romano Catholic kingdom as France or Spain.
