Schala and Magus Theirs is the best subplot of the game, I think. Schala's only in it for brief moments, but she left an impression that still moves me 15 years later.  Of course the whole thing is fiction, but I like to imagine to myself that Magus found her. Seein' 'em here makes me all :*<, but it's just an awesome story, which both the original soundtrack and this cover totally live up to.

The Zeal theme is one of my fav songs of all time; has been since I was a kid. :) Any decent remix of it is excellent in my books! Excellent job!

I always gave Magus his real name when he joined my party. I also named Frog Glenn.

Someone watched me play for a while. He was confused as to how everyone was surprised about Janus being the little tyke named Janus.

@karitsu I've always believed that the 16-bit graphics was part of its charm. Chrono Trigger's magic will never exist with advanced graphics--the heart and soul of the game are, pardon the pun, a link to our pasts, not a vision of the present. Any attempts to remake with better graphics will fail, as we saw with the CT report and Chrono Cross (the official sequel) both.

@badlywornshoes I beg to differ. I played CC with a unrestricted mindset and enjoyed its plot, gameplay and (especially) music tremendously. CC isn't meant to be CT2. I actually enjoyed CC more.

I love this kind of stuff. I just wish that people would spend more time adding a more creative touch to the songs rather than just rearranging them with synths and other instrument with virtually the same form and accompaniment. Either way. Really enjoyable listen, keep it up.

The Zeal Theme is a very hard one to pull off without either corrupting it beyond recognizability, or leaning TOO heavily on the original. You seem to have pulled off an excellent balance here; keep up the good work!
