Is there anywhere downloadable owner's manual for this car (I would even buy one if there is)?! I went throughout the web and couldn't find it (only found in Bulgarian and Polish language).
@04smallmj on the drivers side, there are electric window buttons. Above the buttons.. is there a lock and unlock button for the doors inside the car? Just wondering as i'm looking at purchasing a yaris:)
Cool setup. Did the suction cup thing come with your camera or did you buy that separately? I'm still struggling with the issue of keeping my camera steady.
@tshane250 Thanks. yeah, I bought it separatly. It is the Panavise 809 and I got a free extension from them too. I got the white clip off ebay. You could use a tripod and put it on the passenger side or you could use something similar to Bryant's set up (Bryant5493). Panavise is based in the US. Andres (rextinctione) uses a camcorder and the same suction cup mount as me.
Thanks for the info. I ordered one yesterday. Hopefully, it will help with the shaky camera, though I'm not sure, since I've been using a tripod already.
Yes and no. My car's suspension is not the best, so the camera is still kind of shaky. I found a solution to that, but still have a few kinks to work out. I have three videos that I recorded last weekend that I need to edit and post. The image is resonably steady, but for some reason my camera seems to keep trying to focus. I think it was becasue the sun was shinning on it. Lots of little issues to work out. Hopefully, I'll get there someday :-)
@NicolaiBavnbek yeah LOL. I'll ask her where it is when she comes back from Worcester. I bet she doesn't know or it's kept in a hidden, obscure place! I think have an idea of how to use it and I usually found out how to use things by experimenting! I doubt I'd ever have to use it but I'm just curious as to where the switch is.
Do you put the key in on the right side of the steering coluum or the left? Well, you answered that in the end. Looks really strange to me see everything in reverse.Strange that your mom got a stick and not an automatic.
@vbdenny About 85% of cars sold here are manual. my dad used to have a manual, but replaced it with an auto when he bought a new car. About 90% of people here pass the driving test in a manual, which means that they can then drive both manuals and autos once they have passed. We can only drive autos if we pass in an auto, which makes sense to me.
@04smallmj I think I read that only 10% of cars sold in the US have standard shifts. You can drive either if you have a license, nothing extra needed except mayb a little knowhow.
@vbdenny most of us drive manuals mainly because of the fuel prices (about £6 per gallon). Manuals are also cheaper and the tranny lasts longer. I've only ever driven manuals. Diesel cars are also a lot more popular here due to fuel prices. My driving instructer has a diesel VW golf and my dad's car is a diesel.
thats a strange cool camera you got! how does it record, like sd cards or what? I really like the suction cup setup thing cause it holds things pretty well and suctions really well to windows!

@mujtabahaydar Oh yeah, I don't usually notice that! My dad has left it there for years with some stuff in it.

Ok, so now I heard the radio, found out why you won't honk the horn, but still didn't see under the bonnet yet!
carman81usa 1 year ago
@carman81usa not much to see under the bonnet, only a 69 bhp 1.0 litre engine!
RWL2011 8 months ago
@RWL2011 True, but it would have still been nice to see, and hear running while the bonnet was opened.
carman81usa 8 months ago
@carman81usa you sure about that lol? although it is a 16-valve 1.0 litre, so shouldn't sound THAT bad lol...

Nifty set up, I'm considering using my video camera and gorilla-pod as a home crafted dash cam, after this I might give it a try:)

@NicolaiBavnbek That should work fine.

I'm still trying to work out how to use the rear fog light LOL. My mom doesn't even know how to use the rear wiper 0_0.

@04smallmj Haha, that's what the instruction manual is for:D

@NicolaiBavnbek I bet my dad knows how to use the ones on his car. he has a 2005 vauxhall Zafira.

@mercmilan06 Thanks, I needed something portable because my mom doesn't drive with the dash cam. And yeah, it's crap!

@ActivePigeon Under the mirror? It flips the mirror. You use it at night to reduce glare.
04smallmj 1 year ago
My horn has kinda died. It's very, very weak (lol).
Where's the speedometer? In the center of the dahs, with the fuel light.
Cool video setup. You've got a really small camera there.
Bryant5493 1 year ago
@Bryant5493 If you look at the dash @ 2:40, the speed is shown where it says 0 MPH, the big zero on the right.
After I made the video, I thought that I could say "Worcester" for you but I forgot lol. I said fag though!
04smallmj 1 year ago
@04smallmj
Okay. Yeah, I heard how slipped "fag lighter" in there (lol).
Bryant5493 1 year ago
@Bryant5493 oh, and it's a digital display. I'll do a vid of all of my cameras and accessories soon.
04smallmj 1 year ago
@04smallmj
My aunt had a Cadillac that had a digital speed display. It's just weird seeing that in the center of the dash, than above the steering column.
Can't wait to that vid.
