  • great job to the both of you. I get promoted to cho dan tomorrow night!

  • Can you NOT love it when they brought in the big guy?!

  • wow this is a big fail im only a green bet and im better that u wich is only my 4th belt

  • come on!!!the examiners are all bored!!especially the woman with the blond hair!!!

  • why are you black belt testing your only red

  • @GunsRFun117 she is testing for black (midnight blue) when at level red (final of 3 red belts called il gup), because that is the belt rank system. I am an il gup where I am (red) and the next is black (midnight blue). and dont tell me im wrong when i too do the same art of martial arts as her....TANG SOO DO not Taekwon do.

  • man easy forms/kata and bad stances

  • At the end, it just seemed like you all were fucking around. Not very professional for a "test"

  • this is like karate no taekwon do. but is great ....better.

  • this is

like karate no taekwon do. but is great ....better.

  • WOW! You are amazing, your forms put me to shame! They are perfect, I noticed every little detail from the curl of the fingers to the steadiness of your hands during chops and block; you defiantly earned your belt and the years you put in show! From one black belt to another, KEEP IT UP!

  • you use low stances for certain throws

  • Including sum from this dojang.

  • @Danielyeh but you learn it all so u can have a vast arayy of techniques to choose from. Yeah it's not for everyone but I'll let u know there r quite a few traditionalist doing very well in Mma!

  • @danielyeh useless stances and techniques? Please! Kata teaches balance n muscle memory or reaction. Yeah u probly won't use all of it in a real situation but that why wr spar, to eliminate things that we don't need!

  • honestly martial arts should assign belts due to acheivements not doing useless stances and yelling for no reason.

take a page out of BJJ, pretty sure the only way to get a blackbelt is to win/ rank highly in tournaments

  • I took tang su do as a little kid :)

  • why would my stances be lower then they would be usless

  • @1fightgirl I disagree with Tlrnfkurimi

I'll testing for black belt in about 2 weeks and since we go to different schools we probably have different forms but your Pyong 3 and pyong 5 look perfect very strong snap and great stances.

  • Is this really a black belt exam?

Don't feel bad please but I really need to say this...

the stances are really high, lousy and out of form...

I'm ranked purple in shotokan karate standards yet I can do so much better...

The first two katas are similar to Heian Sandan and Heian Godan of shotokan...

Kudos for traditional non Mc Dojo Training. =)

  • trust me i dont feel bad. becouse you should knopw tang soo do and shotokan are similare but our forms are different.the forms are pyong n sam dang and pyong and oh don followed by nyachi cho don. not your forms

  • @tlmfkurimi this is a different style called tang soo do,but i love your style cuase i get to use the sai

  • Its Tang su do .. very similar to karate.

  • hei people whats this? taekwondo.....? the forms are from karate ( bassai etc) from tkd i've saw only one ,two, and three step sparring.....and the korean flags...........really bad!

  • first of all read.... this is tang soo do. From Korea. and no there were forms, one steps, three steps, then self defense, then full sparring. and if you cant tell the American flag is on the left were it is supposed to hang. the korean flag is there out of tradition. i bet better than you.

  • ok, you have quick hands, good hip twist. you are tiny so it's hard to look uber stong. however, you are doing it and that's more than 99.9 percent of Americans. Most martial arts are positive, with strength and weakness. you had a good testing, you were obviouly commited. How long have you been taking classes?

  • check out wkf kanku dai, thats what im doing for tournament, and i stay in my stances

  • this would be the easiest karate test i would have took, you need to stay in your stances girl, looks like your standing up

  • Take Muay Thai and Jiu Jitsu instead or you might get choked out again in your next fight. Your clinch work needs help. Good luck

  • It seems like, that there isnt't any bodycontrol. Any technique looks very knotted. There isn't any power, these techniques unusefull for any fighting situation.

  • lol..too funny

  • this is not dancing its martial Arts.

and these patterns arnt really differnt you just never seen then before.

  • This is Dancing, Not marital arts.

    FAIL

  • no these are forms. you practice each and every part of the form so that when you need to defend yourself to something it is second nature.without these forms a martial artist is not as sharp.

  • @grant2217 not fail.....maybe we should say fail for your horrid spelling of martial....marital is when you are at married. and no it is NOT dancing,

  • this is such a diff taekwon-do than i do

  • This is not taekwondo, it's tang soo do. A more traditional and much harder style. No point sparring at all.

  • more traditional than ITF???? and what makes a style harder. is it the instrauctor the effort you put in, the legacy and tradition.

tand soo d, ITF and WTF are brothers that split and followed different roots. they all come form a mix of karate and taekkuon. a blend of japanese and korean arts together. and many many tang soo do practisioners are invloved with point sparring. at least in europe...peace and health.

  • Mindless and disrespectful, little being. Behave. I am sick of another dispute over youtube with a keyboard master, that spends more time watching videos than training.

Watch it as it is certain that this attitude will cause you trouble. Unless your desktop is your world.. all this aggression shows lack ofyou know what. Go get some and stop being so aggressive to everybody.

  • i no imna get shoutd at 4 sayn dis n i rely dnt want u 2 take dis the rong way(ur al obvously very gud at wat u do) but jus thought im guna rite this, my MMA/BJJ instructr who has 11 blackbelts in difrent arts(1 bein shotokan karate)is always sayn how useles karate is as a fite sport,,, nerly al the techniqes(especialy ur stance n blockin)actuly disdvantage you. you stand with your arms down, a boxer, even a jujitsuka wuld punch u strate in ur face, i jus wanna hear how this helps ur fitin skils

  • Well your instructor is ignorant. These techniques are very effective and are proven effective in fighting situations. I.e, Lyoto Machida UFC. Georges St. Pierre and many others. We are not taught to fight with our arms down so you were misinformed. We fight with linear movement and quick combos. So i would recondmend checkin your instructors certifications.

  • ??? was this post even in a language?@00jams00

  • @Baterine wow i sounded like a dick head 2 years ago. i agree with you friend

  • The first form was similar to one of my forms. :)

    Good job. :)

  • i do tae kwan do and im a red belt and this is nothing like my form. And there is no jumps. Also, in between red and black there is red and black. So idk if this is karate or tae kwan do and im just saying' plz dont take any ting wrong about this u look great, great stance :)

  • this is tang soo do. the forms are pyung sam don, pyung ahn oedan, bassai so, nai han chi cho dan.

  • aww i remember when i was in karate, cept instead of fighting the sensai(i forgot how to spell it), we would fight the students but add one more student untill your fighting like 5 after each round. brutal

  • Good Job.

I have been doing Tang Soo Do at my school for more than 6 years. I'm two belts away from my black belt. In the second form you do did on this video you didnt go into your stances that much. If your tall you need deep stances. Other than that you looked good. Keep going with this! :]

  • Wow. I just took my test for yellow belt in kung fu. Took me like 2 1/2 hours. But I got it. Good balance on your forms. I also had to spar...woith a black belt...fun!

  • we had two grand masters and two masters one black belt on the board and several black belts in attendance. and i love to spar with the higher ranking black belts.

  • it's very interesting how different schools can be... during my test I could only adjust my uniform a few times... and only after each section of the test... (it was six hours long =)...)
