I really wish that Adam did this song in Drop C instead of Drop D. Its too high of a pitch for either of them to hit on vocals. Its not about which is better. Its just too high and lots of people have complained about it too. Hopefully Killswitche's new album is back in drop C so Jesse can perform the best he can.

Plus I thought the album seemed way too ambitious for him, it was much higher and more rangey than anything else he's done so I knew it would be tough for him to replicate live, he's the best singer in metal but he's not perfect live at all, it's ok, most fans can't fuckin tell when they're at the show anyways

Howard can still bow down to Jesse. I listen to albums more often then live music and Jesse sounds like a god in the studio. He sounds even better live when he's fresh but goddamn he can't help but destroy his own voice over time. Part of it is he was a little too ambitious with this album. the second I heard the whole thing I thought he went way above his normal range. Sounds fuckin pisser on the album but nobody can duplicate all of it live

@SuperAllister18 well the audio in this video is definitely recorded straight from the mixing console and most of the time when you do that, it'll sound terrible like this. whenever bands make live albums or DVDs they record the individual tracks then mix and edit it like a studio album. with the right mic, recording from a camera in the crowd could actually sound better than this. the environment in a live setting is so different than a studio that it'll sound terrible going right off the mains

Yes Adam Dutkiewicz and Joel Stroetzel (guitarists) are both with KSE still. During this time, they were taking a break from KSE after their tour of their 2009 album. But now they are back with KSE working on their newest album due to release in early 2012 (says their bassist Mike D'Antonio) lol

If you watch some videos of Jesse's old band Seemless live, he had an amazing voice live. But now that he's back to screaming his heart out again on these long tours, his singing voice has suffered. I hate to say it, but he's having trouble hitting notes here that should be in his midrange. Touring is rough.

He actually has an awesome voice, stop pushing him into these high zones. Amazing album and band, but it pisses me off when I see shit like this.

@liquifex it's not even studio magic, it's just that Jesse got a little too ambitious when recording the album. usually, Jesse records the singing parts separate from the yelling/screaming parts. that's how he can hit those notes so cleanly on the album but not live. It's not all down to pitch correction trust me, I'm an audio engineer and I have a lot of experience with that software, I can always tell when it's being used & how hard it's being pushed. Adam & howard use more autotune than Jesse
