when blair first came to Llanview she was taking care of her mother addie whom was dorian and melinda's older sister who they thought was dead. well blair blamed dorian for addie's mental condition and she wanted revenge against her aunt. so blair married asa because he had money and power and by blair being his wife she had status and could take on her auntie dearest. there was one problem blair was still in love with max holden they made love on her wedding dress.

continued. that she was suppose to be marrying asa in. to make a long story short and what really broke up their marriage in addition to blair cheating on asa with max holden was when she was taking birth control pills when asa was wanted another child.when asa discovered Blair's deception and cheating he confronted her and had a heart attack and she refused to give him his medicine and stepped over him to let him die. thats why they hated eachother.

Did anyone catch the irony of Blair's situation with Asa? It was the same thing Dorian had done years earlier with Victor Lord.

She was trying to take care of her sister Melinda; who was also institutionalized. After losing her job at the hospital she needed money. So she married the town billionaire.

The apple doesn't fall to far from the tree. If you ask me, Blair seems more like Dorian than any of her real daughters.

But Blair doesn't call herself Blair Buchanan or go by "Mrs. Buchanan" like Dorian does Lord. But I really wish they'd delve into Dorkian and victor's marriage, why she married him, what her relationship was like to him (most of us either weren't there or have forgotten. I always thought it would've been interesting to have Dorian fall in love with Victor and have her whole plan backfire. Oh well......

Keep in mind that Victor has been rewritten since he died (the first time, anyway - LOL). When he and Dorian were married in the 70's, he was a nice guy and a great father.

In the 80's, however, they started writing Victor as a serial womanizer with a secret sex chamber under the house.

In the 90's, he became a pedophile who raped his own daughter. It's no telling what they're going to say he did next. But they're making it look more like she probably caught hell living with him.

The equally funny thing is, even if the first Blair had not been Asian, or the second Blair white, it was still two completely different actresses. The clip would have worked anyway.
