I would highly recommend renting instead of buying if you want a place in Florida, or anywhere in the USA for that matter. The US real estate market still has a long way to fall.

Hi Farmann, I'm from North Central Florida in Gainesville. I don't have video studio or any thing like that. But I do have some time on my hands(I'm disabled)& if there is anything I could do, make calls, look for listings on houses, condos, and offices, etc. Just send me a message & I will see what I can do!!! Gainesville is about 6 hour drive from Miami, 2 1/2 hour from Tampa & St.Petersburg area...I would recommend St.Pete area. I personally enjoy the Gulf side of Florida(St.Pete) rather than the Atlantic side(Miami). The Keys are nice too!!!It does get kinda cold up here in the Gainesville area, which I do NOT recommend in the winter.

Good point, and I share that.
I will not buy in 2008, and might not even buy in 2009. I will aim to hit a low point, perhaps in 2010.
For me as a foreigner with 20% or 30% equity, buying is also a way to short the US dollar.
