@punkinbug2008  me 2 I did this in fact twice lost an arm and leg but gained Enchantix and used dust to get my arms and legs back to normal and I lost a lot of blood and died

This is easily one of my favorite animated scenes ever. It's an emotional rollercoaster that takes you with the Elric brothers from hope to uneasiness, to fear, confusion, and finally desperation. It's beautifully animated and the emotion in the voice acting makes it increadibly cathartic. I can't speak for anyone else, but I can't keep my eyes dry by the point Ed's screaming for the Truth to bring back his brother.

its different to the english one... in this one he lost his leg through transmutation and arm through bringing Al back... in the other al didnt go, ed pulled him back and pulled him into the suit or somthing like that

@seeninfairytales I don't know what you're getting at. They're the same. In both the first anime and Brotherhood, English and Japanese, Ed loses his leg and Al gets taken during the transmutation, then Ed sacrifices his arm to drag Al's soul back and attach it to the armor.

@SimounAngel Only half way through each of them are they alike. Then the story begins to split into different versions, brotherhood is the real version since it is based off the original story from the manga. The original anime story wasn't written by the author of full metal alchemist, only based off what was available of his story at the time.
