When you die the network system of cells stop functioning there for consciouness becomes unconscious. So many invalid assumptions. There are forces in nature that already exist that our 5 sense don't register too well. Forms of electromagnetic radiation, other than the visible light spectrum, are not detectable. Well I suppose if one was hit by an xrays, gamma rays, or microwaves our body would note the passing with cell death. So no, atheist don't think that all there is are things we can detect with our 5 senses. However, we believe in forces that manifest themselves in the physical universe.

For one, we don't say that only what we can sense UNAIDED BY TECHNOLOGY exists, that would mean that a great many stars and atoms don't exist. However, with the help of technology, we can detect the dog whistle, see and even split atoms, see distant stars, ect. That gives us fairly sufficient access to all that ACTUALLY EXISTS.

Things like calculating the width of an atom are NOT empirically collected through our 5 senses, but are done so through complex methods which we have been 'proven' (scientific fact) to be correct. My response is that we only have these 5 senses to determine our realities, but we can expand on them by using technology, such as uv cameras, or probes we send to space. Also the 5 sense independently verify each other. If I see as well as hear someone talking to me, thats two lines of confirming evidence that the person is there.

I guess the atheists problem is that they limit their intellectual scope to what the establishment accepts as valid. But true science dares to challenge itself(just like Einstein did with Newton's theory).Sadly, atheists don't have the guts to question the underlying assumption that human existence is limited to 4 dimensions.When will a true scientist ask himself if there's any chance a part of us might simultaneously exist within at least one of the other 6 dimensions proposed by string theory?

@RabinoBoricuaVirtual "establishment accepts as valid" There are many questions in physics but most people with a common understanding of physics find it highly unlikely there can be a mind devoid of a brain, it appears impossible with our current understanding of what the conscience mind is. I find it odd you believe in string theory do you doubt evolution? Do you understand that in string theory is not testable? And Darwin's theory is testable and proven.

Doubts about the supernatural as a Scientific explanation would vanish were ID to produce an epistemology for intersubjective knowledge of the supernatural and a workable methodology for producing orginial data and constructions explanations of it.
They have not there fort it is not only Scientist who have good reason to be methodoligcal naturalist we all do.
Because exmploying methodological naturalism is the only way to reach true conclusions about the Universe.

Naturalism need not nor does it assume prioi that methological naturalism is the only source of of truth and that claims purportedly derived from intuition and revelation are false there is no methodology for intersubjectivity upon intutition and revealtion to explain the natural world.
Many theologians admits this Christian beliefs cannot be tested empiricaly or otherwise demonstrated but are known to be true only by those whom God has revealed them.

Not entirely true. Several Medicine doctors across the world have been studying for a while now what is commonly referred to as the "out of body" experience of cardiac arrests patients. This has been done in a strictly methodical and scientific fashion. The results of these studies are challenging our most fundamental premises about the relation between mind, brain, and conciousness. The numbers of Doctors doing this is big. These experiences can be induced with drugs or lack of oxygen. My Grandpa was dead for 4 minutes last month and he doesn't remember seeing anything, matter of fact he has started to doubt his faith because of it.
The lack of oxygen even caused him to forget his short term memory of the 2 days prior to the heart attack.
It would be nice if these experiences ever resulted in anything other then hallucinations because they are testable.

If a nonphysical mind (rather than the brain) does our thinking, then altering the brain (say by lobotomy) should have no effect on one's ability to think. But, in fact, altering the brain does (often dramatically) affect one's ability to think. Therefore, thinking is probably not something done by a nonphysical mind, but rather something that the brain does. And since the brain is destroyed by death, thinking--or one's mind as a whole--is probably destroyed by death too.

@RabinoBoricuaVirtual Buddhist and Hindus do not experience the same type of N.E.D's as folks in the west more evidence that religious experiences are strangely predisposed to geography and culture.
We don't begin by believing everything, then slowly whittling down those beliefs until we have ultimate truth - we look at evidence and draw conclusions. If there is no evidence, then it's obvious that we can assume, until proven otherwise that it does not exist.
