  • Camaros kill mustangs any day

  • Thats 6.94 on an 1/8th mile ......My 87 GT does better tan that with a 200 shot hooked up

  • @MrMustangFan87 No, that was a quarter mile. Note the 203 mph. Fail.

  • @seans63lemansSD looked like an 1/8 th but oh well....i dont really like camaros anyway

  • @MrMustangFan87 I like anything fast!

  • meh i tought its closer to 6 seconds, ill keep looking, still awsome though :D

  • @MrJokster - Damn, what is your car, a lawnmower?

  • this car is ruin since its not original anymore..that make me cry :(

  • @GOUGOUNETTE a lot of people keep the original engine and tranny, so you can always put it back in later

  • @GOUGOUNETTE a lot of people keep the original engine and tranny, so you can always put it back in later

  • i put together a smallblock from summit and swap meets and ran a 10.73 i was happy with wow thats a fast car BTW mines a 69 camaro to

  • Dont tell me they hacked up an original Yenko to make a drag car?

  • that's 7 seconds 6.94

  • @R32LMedition thats still a "6" second run . doesnt matter if its 6.99 its still 6 seconds.

  • Man I hope that was not a real yenko, Seems like such a waste of a rare car when any normal first gen camaro would have worked. but hey to each his own.

  • Haha, I love how the wheelie bars left friggen tire marks! And powerglides FTW

  • WTF. 34 lbs boost. R u kidding

  • Yenko's were nothing but plain jane cars with a big ass engine! What's the fuss other than something collectors dreamed up to jack the price?

  • im a Ford guy till i die.. but how in the hell did he make that 1/4 mile look like a 1/8 mile?!? sheesh!! :p

  • If this is a real Yenko, I would restore it back to it's original factory state. If it's a remake of a Yenko, then this is the most badass car I have ever seen. End of story.

  • That car is just plain sic

  • quarter mile or eigth?

  • Me: Sir u have a taillight out, and i forbid u to even move till u have it fixed. Driver: Fuck you *Tires screeching*

  • sir..badass

  • more like almost 7 sec.

  • @LEARJIMMY More like 6.9.42

  • that is unbelievabley fast, you must get thrown back into that seat, nice car, love yenko's

  • doorslammer71, How much did this build cost?...any numbers on manhours?..how many unique handmade parts are in the engine?

Very complete package of a car and nice no-nonsense video!

  • we have about 54k in the car, parts only. The paint and finish body work cost right 18K, chrome shop bill was over 5000. The motor had some one off parts, we work with real good vendors who understand what you're trying to accomplish, for example; the crank came from Sonny Bryant, it is a billet BBC main, Hemi rods, BBC snout, alcohol 8 bolt flange, 4.125 stroke, custom balanced, 2750 bucks, and it goes on...the blower was 8500...the motor, trans, ignition, fuel system @ 60K.

  • @btptotalperformance Nice! How do you guys afford this? Sponsors or just hard work and shared project car between a 4-6 man team? Do you all get to drive it once in a while or is it strictly business? How often do you replace stuff?..like every 4th run or every run or? (tia.)

  • @barath4545

tires; switch from side to side at 6 runs replace at 12 or so

    connecting rods; 25-30 passes

valve springs;check constantly, about 25 passes

blower; restrip teflon rub strips, check every fifteen, replace about 25

blower belt, plug wires, ignition box, front tires & brake pads; every season

freshen trans, converter, engine, mag' crank; every season

4 link rod ends, check every weekend, replace as needed, replace every two seasons no matter what

    change oil every day, 12qts

  • @doorslammer71 u must have some serious cake

  • OH SHIT ITS THE COPS GOGOGO!!

  • @ vegas272007....ask any REAL racer what would they rather have ,a 6.945 second car or a 7 second car, they would ALL say the 6.945.you don't even know the time and money it takes to make your car just a LITTLE fatster.

  • @MuhammadWasGreat no joke, once you hit those speeds shaving .01 off can almost instantly be the difference between winning and losing

  • 6.942 seconds, may as well be 7 seconds.....

  • @vegas272007 699 or 6 flat 6s is 6s

  • @thevettedude66 notice the "s" on your number, i agree "sixes" are "sixes" but i dont agree that "six" is the same as "sixes". Completely different. either way, the car is badass

  • nice

  • More 7sec Yenko!

  • Actually, if a camaro have a factory all-aluminum engine block in it, it is called a ZL-1 camaro.

  • First off if it was me i would tear all that racing crap off. Second Take the engine out Sell it. Thrid Buy a 427 (stock). do a full restoration on it to make look like what a real Yenko should

  • I TOTALLY AGREE.

  • that you i hate these idiots that ruin a Yenko like this

  • yeah. why would anybody do that to a rare classic like that? i say, keep it real. its not worth anything now. i have a 70 cuda and its all stock. i would never chop it up like that.

  • im lookin at a 69 SS i found not to far from my house i might get for $15k and it will stay orginal like they are suposed to be if i decide to get it. it has a little rust i would have to repair though

  • i imagine its been sitting awhile. once its done, i bet it will be a sweet ride. ive had mine since i was 16. i`m 45 now. ive put over $30,000 into it. it was a basket case when i got it. its all original parts. its a 440.

  • not really i can email you a pic of it but one thing that is confuing about it is the torque converter and fly wheel is exposed and i know about engines on classics just not trannys but its just the crappy paint job it has it looks like a 12 year old painted it so ill probly sand it all down t the rust taken care of re-chrome the bumpers and clean the engine and it will be show ready the interior is emactulate

  • the fly wheel should have a cover. i think the torque converter should too. try an auto wrecker for those parts. i know that parts for classics are getting hard to find.

  • i thought it was suposed to have a bell houseing but now i know for sure id give $13000 now for it and no more with all the rust, and parts i would need to find (all will be original if i can help it) but we will see its at a car lot and you know how car lots are about priceing classic cars. but ill search around for a bell housing before i get it to price check but still a 1969 ss with 350 will tear up mustangs like no tomorrow lol

  • bell housing. not cover. (duh) i really like the 67-69 camaros. they look so badass!!

  • lol bell housing cover same thing lol but yea they do look bad ass i wish i could find a yenko shell or copo shell id give 20k just for the shell due to the value if its fully restored

  • check out 13racerx 's video yenko ish nova !!!! 8sec non n2o pass

  • there was a yenko nova in menands a couple months ago, I used to check it out on my way to work... blue/while great looking car

  • i got a go-ped faster then that.......

  • anyway gentlemen, it's a fine car

  • "yenkos" had iron blocks,aluminium heads.COPOs (ZL1) had all aluminum engine?69,1969 ZL1 vettes were copo and i think about 90 something camaros,had the ZL1 option?yenko=dealer,COPO=factory. i think.

  • 67,68 yenko camaros started life as SS396 cars and got L72 425 hp 427 motors installed @ yenko. in '69 Don Yenko figured out that he could order them through COPO and got a specific package with the 425hp 427 iron motor. They were hundreds built for yenko and other dealers, Berger, Gibb, Baldwin, Nickey, etc. Fred Gibb Chevrolet figured out the ZL1 all aluminum motor in the camaro, 69 were built, the ZL1 is actually an all aluminum version of the L88 430hp race motor. TWO ZL1 vettes were built

  • Those ZL-1 Corvette's are worth a fortune now. Seriously I've seen one listed at 3mil.

  • @doorslammer71 so since it said prostreet in one of ur other vids do u drive it on the street with a more of a conservative tune

  • @doorslammer71 the zl1s had a CLAIMED 430 hp output, but have gotten 575 with stock everything, just a set of headers.

  • @doorslammer71 The L88 although rated at 435HP, actually put down around 550RWHP on the dyno

  • @doorslammer71 the zl1 were also extremely underrated. theyve been found to produce up to 585 hp

  • @doorslammer71

Wouldn't you love to go back in time and buy a Baldwin-Motion Camaro? I wounder what they would be worth today since I don't think any originals exist.

  • whats the diffrence between yenko and regular camaro?

  • nothing really just bages motor small difernces its kike the mustang u got the shelby and you got the cobra and u got stock just like chevy has yenko and ss there just differnt styles and wat not

  • are you kidding me? you have no idea what youre talking about. yenko put 427s in his dealer modified cars. the only way you could get a 427 through chevy was through the COPO. that is SO MUCH MORE then just 'badges and small differences' stick with your puny little muskrat motors and leave the real iron to the real men, fordboi.

  • yea well just like the gt500 has a 429 same car just differnt shit and yea u kep ur iron i roll in a alumin body 68 falcon wait a 409 modifed base mtor she runs pretty good

  • like i care what you claim to drive??

  • why would i claim to drive a 68 falcon i mean if i was gonna lie id tell ya i got a twin turbo dodge viper or some shit not a drag car i buld in our barn lol

  • You're kind of wrong too lol. Yenko's had an Aluminun 427 in them. Assuming you're "real iron" comment was pointing out the motor.

  • duh......of course we all know yenko had aluminum motors. 'real iron' is a real motor, as a whole, not the specific metal its made of.

  • fordboy is a wannabe idiot!! bullshit he has a 68 falcon with a 409, which is a big block chevy motor and you would have to do some serious mods to make it fit in a little ford piece of shit. he doesnt know fuck all. if he was a true car guy, he would know that yenko and copo put in big motors and mods for straight line racing. BLOW ME FORDGIRL!! HAHAHAHAAA. YOUR A JOKE!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAAAAAA!!!

  • Yenko was a an extra preformance or high modifier. Kinda like Saleen is to the mustang.

  • it's likes roush, saleen, and shelby for ford

all I know is that..and correct me if I am wrong on this, Yenko only works with Chevrolet's and takes the best of them, and makes them the baddest of asses? lol

  • yep. they made a yenko nova and yenko chevelle as well.

  • scary fast

  • I call bs on that being a yenko. fast car though!

  • Why would you do that to a Yenko? Thing is worth houndreds of thousands in stock mint condition.

  • agreed. if i was going to go this high in performance i would just get an RS.

  • the RS package was purley cosmetic.grill,stripes,spoilers,etc. you could have a 2 barrel, 305/307,273 geared, grandma car with the RS package.

  • mother of christ :0

  • holy fuck

  • AwesomeSuperSenzationalistic !!!!

  • 0-200 in 6?

Holy fuck my car can't even get to 60

    in 6 seconds.

  • lets go on a road trip haha

  • damit i blinked and i missed it!

  • soon i'll be havin the quickest camaro u can she'll be in the 5sec range and it'll be a 69

  • WOW!

I bet just before the run he said "And for my next trick i make this camaro disappear".

  • @peteq1972 this is by far the best comment wow lol

  • 0-203 in 6 seconds.....wowzers

  • Awesome!!!

  • 0:01 oh yes! here we go!

    FUCK!!!

  • OMG roger007audioslave!

  • Oh im sorry I'll just crawl back to my little island with all the other millions of "Australian fags"

  • go for it sounds good to me!!!

  • is this car street leagle?

  • ohyea man just take er for long road trips. pull a boat or camper drive it in the winter, thru the mud its a real trooper.

  • so it is street leagle

this reminds me of a pro mod but with a real body

  • yes u tard its street legal as long as the lights all work, I see cars like this cruising around town all the time and this is cali we got the most strict emissions around but pre 75 cars can run whatever the fuck they like out here. So in short yes it is. Not exactly good on gas or anything but definitely a legal ride in the streets.

  • alright dont gotta be a smart ass about it!!!

  • those tires are not street legal...you cant run slicks on the street...so the car as is in the video is not street legal...u tard

  • dont no about america if this is in america but in england street legal class actuall have to change there tyres then go to a petrol station and be seen too fill up and drive back

  • Its a quarter mile

  • You hit 200mph so I hate to ask... Is that a 1/4 or 1/8th? The strip looks short. either way, that was pretty hot! :P

  • That was a 1/4 mile pass @ speedworld in Phoenix. The best 1/8 mile was a 4.27 et @ 172mph with a 1.05 sixty foot. thanks for watching!

  • damn that would be a wild ride!

  • i wouldnt believe its a real yenko till i saw it

  • If you read the comments previous, you will see that we used a steel body with a good vin and serial number ( it was front hit hard enough to buckle the floor!) ALL the yenko components, badges, decals & such are either NOS or correct reproduction and placed as original. We restore musclecars for a living and thought it was a nice tribute to be as correct as possible. Thanks for checking out the video

  • damn haha. i honestly cant imagine the feeling of going from 0 to 200 in 6 seconds....must be ridiculous....

  • Please enter this into the search field of you tube than you will see the one and only German musclecar on Autobahn going fast as a lightning!

    Beschleunigung Commodore A

  • Thanks for showing the E.T. and speed on the top end timing boards. So many videos talk about how fast the cars are but cut without showing the time and speed. Nice ride !!! I agree if this was actually a Yenko car there is not much original left to it. I venture to say it is a replica.

  • Don't think there is much Yenko or Camaro left in that car...

  • Oh, I don't know. GM OE roof, quarters, taillight valance, taillight housings, trunk lid, rear bumper & brackets, rockers all from real camaro that took front hit. The trim tag and vin plate are on the firewall. So at least it started life as a camaro. As far as the Yenko part goes, believe it or not, all the trim pieces and emblems including the yenko stripes ARE N.O.S. by way of Gene Schmidt, a COPO restorer of note. So its not real, most on the market today aren't either! BUT, I like it

  • I was talking about the drive line, and it was meant as a compliment - that's an awesome Camaro! Is it yours? Or you just a fan?

  • sorry dude, I didn't mean to come off as an arse. Just letting you know about the effort my brother and I put into it, it actually belongs to both of us. thank you for the compliment. PS I checked out your rides.....niiicee

  • damn and with a steel body are you serious. fiberglass body would make that bitch fly

  • Karma

  • Karma

  • ala-i motor

  • damn
