  • i like this model... but one little thing: 0:51 if the gasblock / the holes for the sling would be really like that you wouldnt be able to take of the ris^^

  • @hagalazronin

I just noticed that also. I have a 416 and that sling mount loop should be shorter so that it can clear that hand guard ris when you pull it off.

  • Hi. I had this in the Norwegian Army for a year. That thing can take anything, sand, dirt, water can be held up side down side ways while firing and all. Not too heavy either.

But that fuckin thing does not handle the cold very good. Freezes up on you if it goes below zero. And in the Norwegian mountains, in the snow, that thing just doesn't cut it.

  • I know this is an old model made years ago, but...

It's extremely high quality, but you might want to look at a Picatinny Rail a bit more closely. The slots do not go all the way down to the base, but rather just past the edges of the portions sticking the furthest out to the sides (I hope this makes sense to you).

  • this is the 417....

  • @teh12man Wrong, the 417 is chambered for the 7.62x51mm NATO (.308 Winchester) round.

  • H&Ks m416 is to over priced(as usual from H&K)

  • Dear Santa....

  • what is the polly count?

  • @MrRik338 If he did it optimized the high poly should be around 100k-150k

So it doesnt really matter, its a high poly.

  • @MrRik338 Polycount = polygon count. It's about graphics, how good graphics, to be specific. Google it :P

  • @DonQuixotec still its a question..... i'm interested in how much polly's some people can do this.

  • @MrRik338 Oh sorry, I misread your question. I thought you wanted to know what polygon count means. Obviously you wanna know how many polygons is in the 3D animation. Sorry mate :P

  • @DonQuixotec mweh it could happen to everybody

  • @MrRik338

My beretta M9 has about 120.000 Poly's but thats a HP models with no tex, ony materials.

  • @EmanuelT you got a video somewhere so i can see it??

  • @MrRik338

Working on a simple 360° rotation right now. Its rendering, gonna take a few hours i guess, there's 3 variations of the model in it. Its stil a WIP but looks pretty good. I'll post it when its done rendering.

  • @EmanuelT uhm reply again on me when its done ;)

  • @MrRik338 Hey man, forgot about you, SORRYYYYYYY ! Anyway, here's a video of it,

    /watch?v=p8tayaYYXEo&feature=channel_video_title

I studied Digital arts for 3 months but i stopped now. so dont expect much of it, the video is only a test.

  • Who cries to have this baby in his hands? :(

  • @Clavsicus I do, but it shortly will be anyway ;)

  • heard it doesnt do to well in the cold 8o

  • @dimiii1 I was in the norwegian army. During an exercise we were out in -15 C (day) and -20 to -25 C (night). Just remember to oil the parts that could freeze up, and you're good. During the week I was out in the "norwegian school of winter" (army exercise, even US marines joins in on that exercise), I had little to none malfunctions. At least none that was the cause of frost. But again, you must take care of the weapon. But that you must do with ALL weapons.

  • this gun is like if the HK53 and the M4A1 had a hookup one night and this is their progeny :D

  • What a shame HK will continue to tease the US buyers with nice weapons you will never get. I have come across exactly one of these in real life. If you made the animation, very impressive.

  • @themadscientist13 Move to Norway, live there 2 years, get citizenship, join the army, and there you go. Gotcha self a brand new HK416. But you will get very tired off it after a couple of months, cause you have to bring it around everywhere, at all times :P ... except in bed and during meals haha :D

  • H&K for the win! lol... dude did you do this? or........ Well its 100% aweosme lol... i can do that but it would probably take me 1 month lol.

  • I just jizzed my pants

  • Looks verry nice ! We need a weapon modeler for our free fps Tactical Assault

    Plz visit our website tactical-assault(dot)com

  • Heckler&Koch just pruduces the best weapons in the world.

  • @Gorcky17 Patriot Ordinance Factory makes this but they make it better. Check one out the quality is awesome if you care about such a thing, if you dont get a brand new bushmaster and it will do the job most people are looking for.

  • I think the AR 15 is like a spoiled bimbo and the AK 47 is a tough biker chick.

The Spoiled girl is more expensive, needs constant pampering and breaks down crying when she gets a little dirty, While the biker is tough as nails and packs a punch but cant get into classy establishments.

The HK 416 however is like an escort girl, shes not cheap but you can take her anywhere and she can handle it if you're a little rough with her! XD

  • OMG...XD thats the funniest breakdown between weapons i've heard in forever...but at the same time its so true XDDD

  • Well I gave it some thought! (;

  • and some good thoughts they were!

  • i want one!

  • when in the services. they would rather have this over the m4. too many problems jamming all the time is what im told.

  • sexiest ever

  • That is one sexy assault rifle

  • who plays this song.

  • can you do a tutorial on this and make it super easy and understandable cuz i am a Noob to this like you have never seen

  • yea it is cuz i downloaded it. complicated but fun to play around with

  • what program is this?

  • Very good rifle. For reliability and usage, i would rather have an HK 416 than an AK, or any other rifle that you can buy.

  • the HK 416 is not just an M4 with a piston system..your stupid. It is that and a riflethat is very modifiable - and its just as reliable if not more so then the worlds strong ak's.

  • well all ar-15's are easily modifiable.

  • True, but the HK416's piston systems make it the most reliable AR model out there. It can be submerged in water, buried in dirt, sand, and it will still operate perfectly. its close to if not as reliable as the classic ak... ITS SO SEXY

  • All because it doesn't use a rotating bolt and has a better gas tube system.

  • The HK rifle do use rotating bolts.

  • just buy a gas piston upgrade for your m4 (around $300)

  • Another thing to consider is how well it dissipates heat. You can fire one hundred rounds, disassemble and hold the bolt group in your hand. Heat stresses materials and can cause failure. The 416 can never have a heat related failure.

  • hell yes :D

  • not true, heat goes somewhere in this case, to the piston, which is under the handguard, and is vented through the handgueards, right into your line of sight, hope you dont have an expensive something sitting on top in front of your scope

  • very precise work....

  • 416 uses sux ammo

    417 is better

  • god damn i love H&K

  • Very nice (: good weapons

  • Its an M4 with a piston system......wow.

  • nope!

  • What was this made with?

  • what is the programs name?

  • looks like solid works.

  • Love it but the sights are a turnoff for me.

  • good job

  • what program was this made with? I want it!

  • LWRC's M6 series and the rec7 have the same short stroke chambering mechanism(or very similar) that the m416 uses. are any of these 3 weapon systems inherintly better than the other 2?

  • is that a specific program ?

  • nice modeling, which type of modeling is it based on? poly?

  • m4 or hk 416 which is better?

  • the hk 416 is much better

  • looks exactly the same thought but it does not has the handle on the top like the m4 and the aiming system is different.

  • It is different on the inside.

  • this gun is not 55.6 i think its 6,8 or 7.62

  • the HK416 is chambered at 5.56mm. The 6.8 is the Barret M468 (theres another name for it cant remember) the HK417 which is the sniper variant is chambered in 7.62 though.

  • i just thot they would be smarter than making it 55.6 thanks

  • Yes but what H&K wanted to achieve was to actually sell this gun to the US Army, which uses the 5.56mm round as their main caliber. So H&K thought hell why not sell the US Army just the top half of the 416? Since the every US soldier is probably armed with one, the HK416 is a cheap alternative in replacing the Army's weapon as opposed to spending more and buying a brand new gun which it's flaws have not been perfected.

  • THIS IS A FUCKING COOL ASSAULT RIFLE

  • Er, why?

  • Really, really good modeling. Textures, lighting, the mesh itself. Everything is really professional quality. Great job, man.

  • the h&k 416 comes in 5.56, 6.8 spc, 7.62

  • Rubbish. The HK 416 is chambered for 5.56. The HK 417 is chambered for 7.62 NATO. There was an experimental trial of a dozen HK 416's in 6.8 SPC but that never made it to commercial production.

  • damn! that is one awesome 3D weapon model with a nice shinny texture.

  • How can it have more recoil if it fires the same round? The only thing making it different is the weight which would make it seem like more.

  • nice model mustve taken a while in 3ds max

  • 7.62 what? its chambered for 5.56.45 x45 you propably talk aabou 417 and i doubt its higher than an ak 47

  • its not real time is it.?.

    if so wat app?

  • song = ? plsplspls

  • How is it better? Because Futureweapons said so? The 6.8 won't do shit like the 5.56 against body armor, and that's going to matter in future conflicts.

  • well 416 has less recoil than most 5.56 rilfes....

  • HK 416 = 5,56x 54 mm NATO

    HK 417 = 7,62x 51 mm NATO

    Barret REC7 / M468 = 6,8x 43 mm

    OK?

  • no, its 5.56 x45, 54 wouldnt even fit inside the barrel

  • ahhh I mean 5,56x45

  • I admire you people's skills with 3D applications...

I worked for 2 months on a basic model and it's so so...

    This thing is great

  • You might have seen the Barret REC7/M648.

  • It shoots the 5.56x45..

  • Rubbish. It shoots 5.56. H&K did a trial run of a dozen 416's in 6.8 SPC but nothing as of yet has come of it.

  • Heckler & Koch GmbH

    Made in Germany

  • wow very realistic

  • Awesome render. Wha programs and hardware did you use?

  • I'm not kidding when i say that even close up (where most computer rendered models fall) it actually looks real. If it weren't for the cursor and jerky movement I would say it was real. All done by hand? Incredible skills dude! If you aren't a professional 3d modeler then you should be.

  • maybe a nice weapon mod for Cod6 :p

  • Holy shit... what was the poly count on that? I only saw some angles on the stock.

  • Okay...the detail the prog allows, is extreme.

  • i wish that program would allow you to fire the gun ...that would be awesome

  • Yeah, we got this in the norwegian army, but the norwegian version is a litle different... the pistol grip and some other things are different....

  • I think its a sniper version grip we have :3 or something. Only bad thing is that we're using a "Enviorment" friendly bullet type that's causing our soldiers to get "Metal flu" ^^

  • what program is this or how do u find it?

  • I love this vid

i wuld have it 4 my screen saver if i could and just watch it all night lon... opps

got a little over excited there

    sorry!

  • Wow, that is amazing work!

  • what program is it?

  • This weapon is now the main rifle of Norway :D

  • @Crazycarrot650 damn rigth

  • What program did you use? AutoCAD? cos that is amazing!

  • very nice... very very detailed!

  • work of art. might as well be a picasso.

  • Thanks mate!

  • So, are the Brits going to be using this soon?

  • Awesome.

What is the name of the song playing?

  • Nice!

  • We use a range of tools, some Open Source, some Proprietary - happy to collaborate on any projects with you.

  • Is this a proprietary program ?

  • Looks very high-poly :)

  • awesome model, i'd like too see it as a custom weapon in crysis ;)

  • thanks mate, me too!

  • First, the charging handle looks messed up; I'm not intimately familiar with the HK version, but the great majority of AR-style charing handles protrude a lot more from the sides.

Also does the stock telescope in and out?

Oh, another crit is that the magazine lacks detail at the floorplate area.

  • What software was used?

  • Wow..thats a nice weapon your playing with!

  • nice , but is the barrel the good lenght? and the top rail too?

  • Yes, and yes

  • I want see this baby in Operation flashpoint 2 or Arma 2

  • do u know anything about flashpoint2 ? and whitch weapons are used?

  • weeeds334 i know about SCAR L and H,Javelin,LAW,M4,M249,Minimi and many others!

  • fucking awesome !! nice job dude

  • cheers, it's a WIP..
