  • hell yeah

  • I dont know if this was intentional or not, but i found a tip in life in this video.

  • @ScatmanJoeButt Please enlighten you Scatman.

  • Great job! It uses a lot of the same elements as Floyd's actual videos.

  • howmuch is your camcorter

  • i love your work, you are very creative .CONGRATULATIONS....

  • that mirror scene was really cool!

  • so expensive camcorder hum...

    2500 - 4000 euros.

  • I love your effects work!

  • you spelled "honour" wrong in the info box.

  • and also "due"

  • Fantastic!

  • could do with getting a decent actor

  • NICE!!

What ddid you get on this project for a grade?

  • Pink Floyd wrote "Dogs".

  • gotta love the Floyd

  • great work but you might want to have someone help you with the visual effects. To make them look more realistic that is. The greenscreen pull needs work and so do the 3d renderings. keep it up

  • Awesome production mate--vivid colors, cam handling and the musical score absolutely fabulous--great work.

  • 6:53, he looks at what he have accomplished and goes on to bigger things. Awesome!!!!!!

  • Great Video It would be sweet to make a full length 24min echos video!

  • Dude I think you should do the rest of the song

  • I wanted to but I had a time limit. where the video ended was meant to be around when he entered the forest...

Originally I was going to animate this short film, but I had very little time to plan, shoot and edit so I made it live action to cut down on production time.

  • @davif3 yeah the orginal was like 19 or 23 min?

  • Thats a really cool video. good job!

  • whoa... is petro your last name? mine is, wierd!

  • no, it's like my entire name that I called myself.

as i'm creative like that, you can see that in the video YOU yourself have commented on here!

    *salesman smile*

  • wait, r u saying that u r me that commented, making me think that i commented, but actually u did with ur utube name, forcing me to write this comment?

  • MUWHAHAHA all my evil plans are falling into place!!! S00N I will be famous and not have laws suits against me O_o

such is the power of my words!!!

  • Pink Floyd is great

  • Yes

  • So great... love the island and the mountain effect....

    Great Job...

  • lol you wrote "due" as "dew" in your description..

  • I've never calmed to be a master of the English language...

  • still, funny. And nice vid too!

  • Dude that was COOL!!!!!! What kind of trip that was supposed to be??? On mushrooms??!!

  • This video was amazing. I myself am a big Pink Floyd fan, for their music, content, short films, light shows, etc. and this was done well. Roger Waters and David Gilmour should see this. I'm looking into doing my own silent short films to music with Final Cut Studio 2. Any advice on how you made the film look so polished and broadcast ready? I know you studied this, but any quick advice or pointers would be appreciated...

  • Will make video in a bit, but have sent you message now

  • WOW!! This was great. It captured the essence of Echoes. I wish that I could create something of this quality. If you didn't get an A+, your professor must be a wanker!

  • But you CAN make something this great, but what is holding you back is you're self... with that doubt you're self from the start, then you will NEVER be able to do anything good. SO basically you have to believe in you're self first.

I've sent you a message talking about this more as i'm limited to 500 letters.

  • sony hdr fx1e rocks

  • Thanks! got one?

  • sorry man i didn't know... I just read something and wrote without thinking..

    Now i'm feeling very sorry

  • don't worry about it. anyway, how are you?

  • Thank you for accepting my apologies... I'm fine and you? Is this your personal FX1?

  • Yeap, it my own FX1, got it back at the end of January of 2006

I'm of to Bournemouth on the morrow, to be an xtra in a film about morris dancing, which should be cool

  • Haha... The HVR-V1 is a CMOS camcorder, it doesn't have ccd.

  • don't you feel clever...

I'm trying to be halpful and all you do is nit pick. Thats why You Haven';t made anything as I have.

  • learn english before you post here.... oh yeah i got work, but they are on my computer and not on youtube

  • Sorry for beeing rude... I didn't really ment it like i said :-(

  • Strike 2, one more then BAMMMM!!! you're blocked

it ain't no good making fun of people who have dyslexia and can't talk good, plus it doesn't help that I'm about 4 foot away from my monitor, so text is very tiny...

  • HVR-v1U or VX2100?! I CANT DECIDE.

  • go for the one which has more CCd's as it will produce better colours when filming

  • Do you know which of the the two has more CCds's?

  • the HVR has one I'm sure, the VX2100 my have more. check on Amazon to see the technical specs...

  • I know what the start reminds me of now, ever seen 'A matter of life or death', starring David Niven? When he's just escaped from death, he walks on a deserted beach. ^^

  • You ever done the "2001: A Space Odyssey" sync of the full song? It's awesome. It's only in the final part of the film, "Jupiter And Beyond The Infinite" - and it's honestly, in my opinion, far cooler than the Dark Side of the Rainbow sync.

  • Yeap, done and done... It was part of my work for my college course and it was very good. Never liked Wizard of Oz, evil flying monkeys would take me away when I was asleep :(

  • I like it, but it's a very slow moving Video, but the altered footage is great. As for the music well...it's Pink Floyd, they've only made 3 bad albums, out of 12 (or was 13), and made 3 truly great, generation defying albums. (aka I like the music you chose, lol)

  • The way that I was introduced to Pink Floyd was though the legend of Dark side of the Moon.

As I got into more and more Pink Floyd, I watched The Wall, which blew my mind in the way you can make films. for that reason, I started making more and more videos. Another big influence on my film making is The Prisoner. I could talk for hours about films, I think I will make a video about my Trüe love of films...

  • The best film ever in my opinion, would have to be Donnie Darko, it just has everything, cult Appeal, great acting, subtle comedy (rare for an america film), good drama, brilliant cinematography, and a main character you care about.

  • I wouldn't say that The Wall was the best film ever. It would have to be something Like Apocalypse Now or Shawshank Redemption or something like that... would like to see We are the Strange...

  • I don't literally think that 'Donnie Darko', is the best film ever (There's no real thing as 'best film', they all have their merits on their own level), but personally to myself, it hits a chord, and that's why to me, it is the 'best film ever made'. If you get?

  • Yeah, I do. Have you seen Hot Fuzz yet?

  • Yeah, I have it's Brilliant (that's why i placed it on my favourite's), it keeps up the expectatiopms what Spaced and Shaun of the Dead set up for the trio. (Edgar Wright, Simon Pegg, and Nick Frost) Sadly uit could be they're last film together for a while as they haven't planned any projects together after Hot Fuzz's release.

  • Shame. Anyway, I'm hoping to get a film made with my friends, you wouldn't happen to be a writer? would you? I can film, edit and get actors but I'm rubbish on the writing front.

I can't sit down in front of a laptop and write anything longer than 12 minutes...

  • I am hoping to be a writer, but i'm 17, and going through my A/S courses, but I do English A level, hist, art, etc. (etc. being that of General Studies, that pointless subject that should have been abolished long, long ago)

Anyway writing situations is fun, think of a mundane task, and then think of the motivations and foundations for that task occuring, then go onto more extrodinary things. Also concentrate on rounding out the characters well, and humours never a bad thing in short bursts.

  • I know most of that (never taking my A levels, but knowing a comic book writer) but I have certain difficulties which makes me very visual and talky, but makes me utterly useless at getting any ideas down (which explains why I do so many videos that happen to be under 2 minutes, as I can never remember anything after a days work making the video...) there's no reason that you can't you can't start writing anyway. Motzart was a prodigy by 5, what have we been doing?

  • they have been honored indeed.. once more the great petro has outdone himself... wonderfull! hope i can, with time, come close to your talent.. you are an inspiration man...

    certainly keep it up
