  • I think that what you are doing is very wrong. Bringing food and imposing your religious values. You should be ashame of yourself. If you really wanted to help those people, you would teach them English or a skill. Yet NO, you are teaching them to be dependant on you, you make a clip to compel people to give so that you can make them believe that if they look mesirable enough, someone will give them food or shelter for free. Giving a fish is not helping, teaching to fish is.

  • God bless 'u brothers.. La comunidad y el pueblo de Mazatlán les agradece de todo corazón... Tks Vineyard comunity... de parte de toda la comunidad Mazatleca.

  • I grew up in Mazatlan, and now I live in California. Mazatlan is not exempt from poverty, but this video is not a truthful representation of Mazatlan. I believe your intentions are good, in fact my Mother works with Espiritu y Verdad. If you reallyt want to help these people you should promote more of the positive attributes that Mazatlan has to offer. If you can get people to come to Mazatlan to spend their money and stimulate the local economy during this crisis, everybody will benefit.

  • i am mexican american from california and i think this should cause great shame to the corrupt thieves within the Mexican government who have the wealth to feed and shelter these people but choose not to because they simply dont care. millions upon millions of dollars are stolen by politicians in Mexico annually and its a cycle that continues time after time. the only thing that will solve this inequality in Mexico is a second revolution, and most Mexicans know i speak the truth.

  • I've been there and our family helped make the sandwiches and deliver them to people working at the dump. We visited the colonias and gave out the sandwiches, water and oranges to children in the colonias. It's really amazing how these people live on so little, yet are so happy. La Vina, you're doing a good work there.

  • That place is Guatemala not mazatlan. Way to get peoples attention but not to trick someone who is from mazatlan.

  • mazatlan is bad like u dont even know to much crime and drugs

  • Teach them english and they could get a job, problem mostly solved.

  • what would jesus do, right? did he give the loaves and fishes and bibles? no, the loaves and fishes were his bible. sure he spoke gospel, he gave lessons, but those lessons were primarily about the love revolution, not about conversion. he was very clear about that. he spurned the pious. piety is a sin, a separation. love is the only law, the only commandment of christ. missionary work is love with strings attached. too bad.

I hope that removal of your comment means you found an answer to your questions. If not, I invite you to go into the LaVina office and sign up for one of the weekly tours (may have to wait until September or October becuse, I believe, tours are shut down for the summer -- check with office).

  • I;m glad you do nice things, but seriously that's SO not Mazatlan. other kids in Mexico live like that, but in Mazatlan, in the barrios there IS electricity lol. Mazatlan is not dump, and its not the poorest of the poor so yea, just letting you know surprisingly I'm not mad Im actually laughing at the fact that u think you can make this video thinking that no one but people who never lived in Mazatlan will see it. but seriously if u did that for some other place in Mexico, God Bless you :)

  • I would invite you to go see for yourself some of the areas where LaVina is ministering.

LaVina conducts a bus tour almost every week. You can call or visit the office (address on Contact webpage) to sign-up for one of these tours and see he conditions for yourself.
