Actually Israel is not a "Full Democracy" according to the "Democracy Index"

Democracy index has 4 levels;

Full Democracy -> Flawed Democracy -> Hybrid Regime -> Authoritarian Regime

and Israel scored 7.48 and was placed in the "Flawed Democracy" ranks.

However it's still more democratic than any other Middle Eastern nations...

Israel is more democratic than many, if not, most of the other Middle Eastern nations. South Africa was also a democratic state. We didn't go around wishing more countries could be aparteid like it.

I will hear many things against Israel's policies, and the country deserves sanctions and worse. But we have to be fair. Yes their is religious intolerance, but it is the same in neighbouring Islamic countries, and even in the USA, where conservative Christians and Republicans complain that Islam is an "evil religion", and athiests who say Christianity is "evil". There is a lot of intolerance and racism in Israel though. And their treatment of the Palestinians is disgusting.
