I think every school should show Hetaila instead of those boring three-hour long documentaries. But the bad thing is, if you look past the funny moments, Hetaila is just a cover-up for the terrible things that actually happened in the world.

I think Hetalia as it is now is kind of dark in itself. It seems like it's trying really hard to cover up the wrong that the nations have done in the past by sugar coating it, but in a good way, kind of. I dunno, it seems more real than anything because the way that it's made allows readers and fans to imagine what it might be like but it also admits that the world is not all shit and giggles.

Also, the iron cross(Germany's) for example, would have to be taken out because some people take offence of that. It's mostly comedy, kind of silly and cutesy at times, and depending on how you look at it there's hints at romance or really strong friendship, and since there aren't a lot of girls it's usually between guys. I really enjoy it because I like the comedy and because of the yaoi potential. XD
@54321bubblepop Adding to what someone else said--I'm not sure how much you already know about Hetalia, but it's like this: Each character is a stereotyped personification of a real country (example: Italy is a pasta-loving idiot, but he's cute). There's really no coherent plot, the plot is basically history. All sorts of historical events (particularly WWII) are retold in a comedic, fun, politically incorrect way. It's loveably stupid, yet somehow as epic as this video. It's pretty special.
This is simply incredible. If the whole world was truly like this and knew Hetalia, I'm sure the world would be treated much better. But we Hetalia fans can help. WE know.

@RussianWhiteWinter No, I'm pretty sure we don't. I personally dislike naruto and One Piece. What attracted a lot of people to it was its lighthearted funnyness, not what YOU suggest. It wouldn't be more interesting, it would lose what makes it special, at least to me.
