First of all: I'm sorry for my bad english (I'm from Italy)... anyway, if I understood what you wrote, you want to get neutral sound of sansamp out from your amp's head right? the instructions of the pedal suggest to put flat or bypass the eq (for example I have an ashdown mag300 and when I connect sansamp in send\return I disable eq, deep, bright buttons on it so the sound is what comes out from the pedalboard. I hope I just got what you asked me
this video is greaaat, thank you. quick novice question - how could i stay most accurate to these sounds through a regular 3 (mine is 4 technically, lo and high mids) band EQ on a basic solid state head? in particular, im playing through the GK backline 600? i guess what i mean is what settings on a head would be "neutral" in a way that would capture just what the sans amp is doing?
hey! great video. i just bought this pedal and it sounds fantastic! anyway i was wondering does recording it directly from the XLR input sound any different than just recording directly from the line out??
@TreefortWarfare there is only one way:TRY!I suggest you, if you have a multi channel soundcard(4 input at least), to record 3 separated tracks: one from xlr out of sansamp, one from xlr out of the amp and one from MIC. the main differences are:
1 - the sansamp xlr out is too much defined in recording in my opinion
2 - the mic sound will give you more bass (so try to mix these 2 tracks)
3 - through xlr out of the amp you will get sansamp'sound, but equalized from amp, hope being useful to you
I have to say, I wouldn t use any of those tones in a recording or on stage. some arebetter than others. I probably liked Clean Boost" the best. I have a Sans Amp RBI but it doesn t sound like any of these tones.
@pece33 great! I just saw the RPM! it sounds very aggressive! but I can's spend 250 euros now... I see something more on the rpm, better than the sansamp pbdi...the MID control...great...thanks for your comment
@bkuettel412 you should use 2 amps. One set for clean sound and the other for effects (chorus, flange, distortion/fuzz)

What setting should I use for playing metal or progressive metal. I lotta low end and some harmonics for the chords?

Would it be possible to get Billy Sheehans bass sound by getting this pedal?

Hey dude the Reggae setting i really like the best . It has a very fat warm tone to it. The SVT & Fat Tube settings are great too.

man it would've been great if you had just included your unaffected/clean tone
thanks for the demo though!

@no1000 ops! I didn't think about it! you're right... but if you look for G&L L2500 premium tribute you can have an idea of how it sounds like...
elninodelamuerte 1 year ago
@no1000 Listen to the clean boost. Pretty similar just louder. gives a really decent idea.

Do some with the RBI & or the RPM man they rip too. They have the same knobs so it wouldnt be that hard to do the same with them.
You did great here by the way.

What guitar did you use for this recordings? Brand, model, active / passive, pickups?
tapchan69 1 year ago
@tapchan69 I wrote it at the beginning of the video anyway it's a g&L L 2500 tribute premium active PU middle tone , active, parallel mode.

@elninodelamuerte Sorry. I just pushed play and jumped to another tab. Figured the sound was enough, so I didn't actually watch the video - my bad.
