So yea, removing the supposed 'single-payer pathway' leaves you with a watered down bill. We saw how difficult it was even getting that bill passed. Sure, there is the mandate to buy private insurance, but that would not lead to a single payer. i haven't even heard discussion of a trigger in the senate's bill

actually just about every single employer in the US offers health insurance. There is a myth in the united states--everybody has health care. Most people don't get health insurance through employers because of drug tests. You know if they would drug test everybody who has insurance we could cut a lot of people from it and that'd be part of the problem solved.

Trust me we don't want this bill. The problem with it is that they're rationing health care. For example now they say you shouldn't get a breast cancer exam until age 50, and it can happen at younger ages. Also if you do get this cancerous growth then the bill wont cover it unless your fifty. The government is taking risks with peoples lives to save money. We don't need this bill. We don't want it. It's going to be a disaster if it goes through and nobody sees this.

Of course not. The Fire dept is a local service, not Federal. Post Office is Constitutional, but if it didn't receive tax dollars, it would've gone out of business already. I'm sure we could endlessly debate the Constitutionality of entitlement programs, however I will say that the amount of money my generation puts into such programs will never be equal to the amount paid out. As you pointed out, such programs are headed towards insolvency.
