  • Im about two weeks away from actually putting my clc kayak in the water with the MK II sailrig.

    Im curious...

Have you GPS'd your speed yet? Can you give the wind conditions, your sailsize, etc etc etc??

Thats a sizzling video by the way.

  • That's what we call "Hauling the Mail!" Yea!!!!

  • Looks great. How are the keels on the ama's working out for you?

  • Thanks, they're working pretty well and certainly aren't hurting my speed. I'm getting pretty good upwind performace on my clc single (LT 17) which tracks really well with the hard chines but the tandem wasn't so good. At nearly 20' and with round chines its no suprise so I added a daggerboard on the tandem (just visible lower right) that I made from a retired rudder from a Hobie 16.

  • @300madison Hi.. wonder what the rudder is like now. However, if you have no keel, it takes all side forces and for sure it is not designed for that speed and lateral pression as in a kayak it mostly trails in the wake
