It has some serious potential. Tarantino is pretty consistent as far as quality goes.

I don't really get the people whining about Pitt though. He's probably one of the best main stream actors out there. Examine each of his roles and how he portrayed them before passing a judgment like that. His role in The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford alone convinces me, and that's really not even his best.

A lot of the original Pulp Fiction ads were just fast montages of action shots. Trailers are all about establishing a mood for the casual moviegoers. All Tarantino has to do to attract his true fans is put his name on something.

Well if they are religious fan boys I guess thats true. But this trailer doesn't really show any class to the type of films we see from Tarantino. Ei look at the trailer for Kill Bill, Grindhouse, even Jackie Brown. And yes there is a montage element but also most of the time it's just people talking. This trailer makes the movie look ignorant and shit it even convolutes the lighting of certain scenes compare the colors between this trailer and the international and you'll know what I mean.

Good point. To be fair though, this film's dialogue isn't the sort of hip inanity that his films tend to possess. There's no Royale-With-Cheese or Like-A-Virgin monologues to be found here. This is Tarantino's "period piece" of sorts - almost everything that's said is very official, and for the most part, serves to move the story forward, or at least that's what I noticed. I think building a trailer on the dialogue would be a little redundant, but perhaps I'm just looking for excuses.

theres an issue with that. The story of kill bill is finished. If you went ahead and continued to make a spin off with the daughter... it would a new story but yet connected. Look Kill Bill was a masterpiece. It was done well and ended well. If they want to do a prequel then that would be fine. Star Wars trilogy was a masterpiece and so was LoTR. any spin off usually turns out bad or out of character. Also directors have to choice to continue the project of not. All things come to an end.
