I never did watch Falcon Crest and only later learned that David Selby who played Quentin Collins on Dark Shadows had been on Falcon Crest. If i had known that at the time the show was on I would have watched it. Next to Barnabas I liked Quentin Collins.
I thought chase was only presumed dead after he and richard dived in to rescue melissa and baby and he didn't return to the boat, anyway dumb again not giving robert foxworth storylines worth staying for.they could do a 3 part film comeback like dallas,if just to allow for his comeback, but maybe no demand at this stage.thanks for the memories as they say
He was there until season 4 or 5, if I'm not mistaken. The actor who played him wanted to do other things. The show was the most violent of the evening soaps, so it's not surprising that only 3 or 4 of the main characters saw the end of the series. Angela (Jane Wyman) is the one who wrapped up the series in a moving monologue.
The theme to Falcon Crest was composed by Bill Conti who had also did music for Rocky, The Karate Kid and Lean on Me
He also composed music for other TV Series such as Dynasty, The Colbys, The Master Starring the late Lee Van Cleef, Cagney and Lacey from the Sharon Gless Era and of course the theme to the original American Gladiators.
Nothing can beat the 80s era when shows like Falcon Crest, Dallas, Knots Landing, and Dynasty aired...the feeling today is just not the same...TV has too much garbage on and too many channels.
You are so right.I thought i was the only one who felt that way JM. I reminisce all the time. TV is complete bunkum right now and I sit through the sitcoms and don't even crack a smile. The jokes are tasteless, the humour belongs in the toilet ...its so sad. What is on Tv that families can watch together?
Even in my 30s, the only family sitcoms I find are what is on Disney and Nick. I find that shows Drake and Josh and some of the Disney sitcoms are well written and actually funny. However, nothing compares to the 80s nighttime soaps today. Even the daytime soaps aren't what they were.
This was the last season where Susan Sullivan was in danger of getting whiplash during the opening credits: hence she didn't swiftly turn around in this one.
I like to feel sexy....knowing someone is watching me ..wanting me...turns me on!BADLY! I like to flirt and pose..and sometimes i like to get WILD! how? ..he he..come in video and youll see:-)) maybe u can teach me something..or maybe i will ! come visit me at MeetYourFling (.COM) my user-id there is elayne-txgr chat soon on cam :-) xggdze
For me it was Falcon Crest at 9:00 PM and Dallas at 10:00 PM, then I'd stay up later to watch The Midnight Special. I really loved the way these people dressed, especially Chase, Lance & Angela. She could have given Miss Ellie # 1 a lesson or two about fashion.
wow . . . .now this was a show that wasnt to be missed back then. i think back to the fights btw Angela & Melissa, Richard, Chase . . .i guess you could say btw Angela & everyone . . . lol. I cried so hard when the last episode aired.

She was in an intro from season 5 where she turned around rather quickly still, certainly enough to get whiplash.

They need to do reruns on regular TV for those of us who don't have cable

That was exactly how I spent my Friday nights for 10 years- the good old days of the 80's when network TV was actually worth watching!
