@cablamus George Gershwin technically, but in this they just took the chord progression (and melody, at the end) as an excuse to solo over it. So yeah, it sounds completely different.
Rumor has it that the release date is tentatively set for mid-March. This was found out after countless angry emails were sent to Victory about the matter.. There are several threads about it on the Unofficial Forums. The truth behind the statement is questionable.. but at least we have some sort of idea from the record company (not just Tom) as to when it's going to be out.
@yblackguitary 99 songs of revolution. Its a compilation of cd's their going to make with tons of covers and some original stuff. Theres already one album out from it
I recently met these guys in Manchester when they played a gig at a fairly low-key club, they were awesome and so modest and the gig itself was absolutely mind blowing. STREETLIGHT FTW!!!
He he, I met Mike on Sunday! He is awesome and apparently works in a coffee shop in New Jersey when he's not on the road...y'know if you wanna track him down, he even let me hold his bari sax!!!
He is a god. was in a band a few years ago that opened for Streetlight in Portland, ME and he was the chillest dude and incredible. Played Flight of the Bumblebees, no big deal.
Jim Conti, you legend.

@giggipop That song ended at the 00:20 mark.
Invalidcredentials 1 year ago
@giggipop Yeah, the solo section is done to the tune of Summertime, an old jazz piece from an opera by George Gershwin.

Funny how Tomas' dialogue about the recording of SitB being done can be applied to 99SoR today. Amazing video.

what was the song after the solo?

I Think its summertime from sublime
SLMSKA 3 years ago 2
Summertime is actually a song composed by George Gershwin, sort of an african spiritual song
lordlemmingman 3 years ago 8
Actually, Sublime covered Summertime and re-did it. Streetlight is actually covering the original in this bit here.
