Per Ohlin (Dead) wanted to die. He joined Mayhem because it was the greatest thing ever, after Morbid failed to be what he wanted. Öystein Årseth (Euronymous) wanted suffering and darkness, to create the darkest metal ever done. He succeeded, but the price was his life, as some people took it too seriously. After Per killed himself it was a chaos, but Euronymous wanted the best vocalist he knew, and he got Attila. Before he was in Mayhem, nobody knew about Tormentor or Attila Csihar.

I assume this has been mentioned before, but you might want to change the title. Mayhem only recorded two studio tracks with Dead and those are Carnage and Freezing Moon. This is from the '91 rehearsal released on pic disc in 1996 as "Out from the Dark" (Dead's last rehearsal by the way).

And some of the songs off DMDS were already performed at gigs in 1990-1991 so... (live in leipzig, dawn of the black hearts, live in zeitz, live in jessheim,....) all still w/ Dead on vox..
