Hopefully Brian Burke will bring in a superstar of some sort. The Leafs average 34.0 shots a game, but they need someone to finish it off.

I heard something about Kovalchuk potentially getting traded to Toronto, but who knows. It would be nice though to have someone that can finish the plays off, like Sundin often did on the power play last season.

Anyways, I think Brian Burke coming to T.O. is a great thing. It just might give the spark that the Leafs need, and get them out of this streak!

The play of Kaberle and Kubina is very concerning. They both seem to have lost their passion and intensity. The Leafs are looking to them to provide leadership, but neither have stepped up in terms of on ice leadership. This is something that Burkie will address when he arrives? I also feel that Blakie will be demoted to the Marlies. I hear the NYI would be interested in getting him back?

Regardless any no trade clause Kaberle, Blake, Kubina, Antropov could leave to open for new opportunities. Always having in mind we are in a rebuilding process based on welcoming young players. Goal tending seems solid but also fragile at the same time. Defense, center, attack. Trios are the priority. Maybe too severe to say that we have inly third trios. What do I wanna see out of Burke? I wanna see Kaberle, Antropov, and possibly Jason Blake leave so we can get some high first round picks, such as Hedman(long shot), Tavares(even longer shot), or, more realistically, Brayden Schenn:), I also wouldn't mind a better goaltender(Vokoun, anyone?), and possibly a REALLY good, big Defensemen, to be paired with Schenn and maybe teach him a few things. Chara's my first choice but since I know that'll never happen I'll just have to wait and see...

MATS SUNDIN... antripov, poni, and sundin line was good back what 2 years ago but with the hagman, goalbovski, kulimin line as your secondary scoring i think it work work quite well, and leafs need that leadership sundin brings to the team... and kaberle, *sigh* should have been trade for jeff carter last year
