The fact that it was actually underground just added to the overall atmosphere in the place. the way the bass flooded up the main staircase, the heat, the lights, the diverse people the whole place was just different class. As for funky trippers comment about sound , the sound is like that due to the facct that when we went to party it was 91 so there were no poncy flash video and phone equipment ,the quality was so better for real ,and we were there to dance not to make youtube and twatty facebook videos .
@lollygog10 I concur, in a small room with the nearest decibel meter over 20 miles away the bass in this place was so loud it would have reduced your pithy smartphone to a quivering collection of metal and plastic fragments, it was a superhuman feat to enter and depart with your senses, let alone a camera and the 20kg power pack that accompanied it, kudos to the cameraman, you captured a unique part of our culture :)
I'm now 38 and happily married with 2 children , and can still remember the underground between 91 and 93 , oh the heat down there and the condensation dripping off the ceiling and the tunes those tunes that make the hairs on your neck stand up and the crowd . Happy days .

I remember i first went , walked into the top floor, all the red lighting and weird decor reminded me out of the bunker in platoon the movie..
I did not even make it to the underground until 3 visits...!.. when i finally made it it looked like the 8th wonder of the world..OMFG.!
Im afraid it can never be replicated again because of all the EU health and safety stuff............
