I remember Les Dawson's piano bits weren't massively dissimilar. Closer to Leeds there were Mark and Lard's Shirehorses. Higher profile there was Tenacious D. I believe Laurel and Hardy laid down an album nearing the dawn of recorded sound.

Bill Bailey used to work with a trio doing similar stuff too.

...No, not stage school..Rob, Ste and Mike met at music college whilst studying for music/production degrees, along with the two people in Pound Stretcher and the clothes shop. . It's all an act, and they are all very good producers, musicians and songwriters.
