I did this to a pair of my jeans a couple weeks back, nice tutorial! Interesting to see how everyone does their distressing! I started using a craft knife but didn't like the clean cuts, so i went to using the tip of my scissors and worked them over and over and until they cut through the material, which made the fraying happen on its own.

I love to distress my jeans with sandpaper and razors! The razor thins them out and allows them to get fuzzy and ripped, and the sandpaper makes them look worn out in certain places, like if you put your cell phone in your back pocket and then use the sandpaper around the edges of the phone, you get the worn out shape of your phone!

Who needs to buy expensive, pre-distressed shorts when it's this easy to make them yourself!

It also helps that those jeans fit so well in the first place - you're lucky (ha!) to have found them. Jeans shopping is the hardest kind of shopping.
