  • Crownvic.net, the coils are 7mm and get a .054 gap

  • Excellent video! Thanks for the highly informative video, and thanks for taking the time to make this and sparing most of us the misery and aggravation of finding out the hard way!

  • man where were you 5 min ago? i had misfired on 6 and just tried to change coil.. find out they had spark plugs and i got little oil on that plug .,.,..,ford need to put instr for dummies lol

  • you'll be fucked! :D

  • Thanks, I was wondering how to find them myself. Now I can change them easily.

  • There's no wires because 98+ Crown Vics/Grand Marquis/Town Cars use a coil-on-plug(abbreviated to COP, oh what a coincidence, lol) system where each cylinder gets its own dedicated coil connected directly to the spark plug, and each black thing on top of the spark plugs in this video is called a coil-over pack. It has several benefits over a traditional "wired" sparking system but you can Google it if you wanna know more.

  • Thanks! I'm a woman and about to do this myself...this video was very helpful!

  • Thank you i wanted change plugs on my c rown Vic couldnt figgure it out

  • Where was your VID at in July I did everything u said not do check out my vic

  • Thanks helped me locate the spark plugs on my 2004 Crown Vic. Ford really worked to camouflage their location. I too didn't see an plug wires. So, I was about to take it to the dealer. This gives me enough to go on. Thanks again.

  • Hey man, thanks for the video! This will be laughably easy compared to my Explorer. I was prepared to spend most of the day on this, now I think I can get it done during halftime of whatever game is on!

  • What did you use to remove that valve cover?

  • thanks man. I have years of mechanical experience and i was confused lol im glad you put this vid online youve saved lots of time for many people.

  • thanks!! very helpfull!!!

  • Don't let the fuel rail fool you. The coils will come right out, they flex very easy away from the fuel rail and pull straight out. It is painfully easy, almost make other cars seem hard.

  • how do you pull out the spark plug boot? doesnt it hit the feul rail? or can it be squeezed out of there?

  • thats whats good playa thats alot!

  • dude! thank you. wish i wouldve seen this 5 mins sooner. first thing i moved was the gas line..spilt gasoline.....so came to youtube found this..now i wont mess up! THANKS FOR MAKING THIS VIDEO!

  • That was very helpful thank s bro good looking out

  • Thanks, I'm a 52 yo cracker with a 2000 w/ 40k, how many miles on that 03? You really shouldn't have to replace the plugs, should you?

  • Good looking man I was all over the internet searching, the video really helped

  • Fuck that!!!! For the fact u even made this video to show real players how it's done makes you a Boss fo'real!!

  • @mrfreemark no it doesnt....but it helps people change spark plugs!

  • Thanks Bro, those sneaky lil plugs. Your vid helped out alot.

  • Nice job!

  • good looking on the vid...very helpfull...keep it up.

  • Thanks homie

  • I just want to tell you that its good to see someone with no formal education on engines willing to pursue and endevour like this. It speaks alot about your personality. I hope that you continue to find things that challenge you. When a man is challenged mechanically and overcomes the euphoria that is felt cannot be explained.

  • fuck thank god ur here!!! i need to check them and i couldnt find them on my 92 vic

  • hey man i was there too i felt the same way when it came to changing the spark plugs but i found out through forums at crownvic.net so good looking out to man for those that are learning about this. i just recently today matter in fact put in the water pump for the crown vic.

  • useful video! thanks!!

upload more as you do work on your car. This really helps!
