I'm not a Paul supporter but he embarrassed the other GOP candidates during the primary debates. He does have a foreign policy platform. Just because you disagree with it doesn't mean it doesn't exist. He is not as isolationist as you claim with regard to trade and open markets with other countries. He doesn't support wars or interfering using military force. That's a good debate to have but to say he has "NO" foreign policy is either ignorant or an intentional lie.

I already mentioned free trade (open markets) which is a major part of foreign policy. Google "the original foreign policy by ron paul" and that is a brief intro to his beliefs (they're not necessarily my beliefs - I'm just saying he does have a foreign policy). Foreign policy is not limited to war. He still has thoughts on diplomacy, trade, travel etc with other countries that have nothing to do with isolationism.

you're partly right islam created terrorism, yes this is true. but what is the root cause? religion. we need to fight against people who still believe in stone age gods.

terrorism is a tactic that's been used for hundreds of years, maybe longer. Ever heard of the IRA?
It's a tactic, one mans terrorist is another man's freedom fighter.
Religion didn't cause these people to do these things, it's what our policy is that matters most. If the Chinese started dropping bombs on Atheist weddings I think some of them might become suidide bombers.

No we didn't per say create the terrorists. We do give them incentive to hate us though. You should actually listen to what Bin Laden has said before, and why we were attacked. There irrationality towards "infidels" with policment and serving the military industrial complex. Why did Al Queda offer Osama Bin laden to Bush senior and he declined it. Our Foreign policy makes no sense.
Atleast retract our troops from places other then Afghanistan, to cut down the over seas budget.

When oh when will the left/right pardigm start to understand what Ron Paul is saying? When will they attempt to understand the law of action results in an equal and opposite reaction? When will we understand that intelligence operations conducted at the behest of international bankers and multinational corporations are blowing up and coming back home to roost?
If any other country in the world took the preemptive strike methodology as far as the US, Washington come unglued crying about it.

My point is - It doesn't necessarily have to be Paul or Kucinich, but a movement that has at its core a MEETING of "progressive" & "libertarian". There is something very good & American where liberal & libertarian MEET, & Paul, Kucinich (& some others) have it. I truly think that THIS is the movement that could heal our country, & unlike 2007-2008, (when the VAST "mainstream" D/R were still in denial), now IS the time. (A McCain/Palin victory would have only postponed this opportunity.)

I find interesting that more than 80 years ago, it was the Republicans that were the Progressive movement and big government big corporation advocates. And it was The Democrats that were fiscally responciple and for small government with individual liberties. Both parties have been taken over by big intrusive government promoters. Just with different agendas. However, both roads lead to the same destination. Total socialist government.

Even though I'm a liberal on almost all social issues, I listen and respect Ron Paul because he's a very smart man with well thought out opinions. Someone like Ron Paul can actually change my mind, not someone like Dick Cheney however.

@subversive81 Actually yes we are. We were the only ones who offered up ANY resistance to the most heinous offense to the Constitution over the past 30 years--the Patriot Act. You have no idea the freedoms you lost when that passed under the GOP Congress and Bush.

I guess you're not aware that the Patriot Act could not have been passed without votes by both Democrats and Republicans. Even that asshole Obama voted for the Patriot Act and FISA amendments. You don't seem to have a clue as to what you're talking about. Both Republicans and Democrats have wiped their asses with the Constitution.
