Being the sad act that I am, I got the most entertainment out of using CPU vs. CPU to restage the 1998 World Cup. It actually produced a fairly realistic variation of matches. Some dull games, some upsets. But the semi between Italy and Brazil was nothing short of an epic. 5-4 to Italy, who also won the final 2-0 against Germany.

the best thing about the game, hands down was the curling control of every shot/pass with the z-trigger - has any game since had such a thing? being able to curl it so much it goes backwards, or does an 's-curl' (curls in two directions) guaranteed spectacular/bizarre goals from 100yards amongst others...

wow, what memories - i loved the fact that the stoppage time at the end of the half, was usually longer than the rest of normal time itself. Also can't forget 'flying bicycle kicks,' the grunting sounds at every tackle, the physically-impossible passing and shots....

Nessa época a Konami nao tinha licenciado nem os jogadores, só a FIFA podia usar a "imagem" deles. O mesmo ocorria nos jogos do Super nintendo. POr isso puseram outros nomes, mas com alguma similaridade isso somado a aparencia física tornava indentificáveis os jogadores em campo.

This was - is a great game mate.

I spent so many hours playing this and got to be very very good. I got the most enjoyment from making my own team and winning at the highest level.

However at the highest level most goals came from goalies fumbles which was frustrating. Still, awesome game and it has something modern football games don't have.
