I recommend watching the extended version of AVP on Blu Ray. It has a nice story and the settings and special effects, lighting, music etc are really good!

This movie was... fun. AVPR was either boring or just down right stupid. The only saving grace for that film was the Wolf Predator and his hunting skills. I enjoyed watching this film in a theater full of fans cheering when we first see the Alien and Predator meet for the first time and beat the crap out of each other. That experience gave me chills down my spine. AVPR is a disgraceful movie. This was fun.

The predators being bulky looks good they look a bit stupid without shoulder armer because there heads are big so having huge shoulders balances it out allot more

Really was not impressed by this film, terrible acting, far to much CGI, poor story and the predator looked like exactly what it was a man in a suit. And they said it was scary...well I suppose there were a few 'jump out of closet' scenes but nothing that stays with you after the film.
It's good that he did want to use as little computure-effects as possble. Today, all the movies we se is overpacked with computure-effects, I don't like that at all...

For starters, they need to stop making these movies take place on earth and in te present, this all should be a little bit after Aliens.
Second, they need to realize that their is just too much story to fit into an hour 1/2 to 2 hours. They should make a series of this on HBO or something of that nature. It would be much more successful and would gain fans from the outside.
Oh and the past alien and predator movies have been such a great success. Unless if you can point out to why it would suck other then bad directors and story tellers, I don't see why it would, and there would not be a need to to fit 3 stories into 1 1/2 hours which really takes away from it. If you think fitting 3 stories into that much time is good, that is why the past movies have been failures.

people say that the predalien in avpr is a young queen because of the flat spiky head and the ability to put the chestbursters in the hosts since it cant create eggs yet so that means a a queen facehugger attacked scar predator in avp
Not necessarily, a facehugger implants its host which then the embryo changes and mutates into a form of its former host. Ideally, the embryo didn't sense the presence of a queen so it produced queen-like additions or features. The amounts of ideas that lead to the changes could be limitless.
But there would be no sense of a 'queen' facehugger, as portrayed in the game AVP2. The Praetorian was a matured drone which would become candidate for queen once the current queen died.
dude!the queen facehugger is the praetorian facehugger it means the same thing any way.the preatorian facehugger iplanted the scar predator then it got some of the characteristics of the predator(like the runner since it face hugged the dog(ox in the directors cut) then it got some traits)the pretorian or young queen became a hybrid so why do you thing a drone can turn to a queen then why didnt the drone it alien(1) turn to a queen.and so,thats the why the predalien got to implant people.
That's because the drone in Alien 1 did not have the necessary time to mature into the praetorian stage then into the queen stage.
The facehugger is a GENERIC alien, with 1 purpose and NO subclasses. An ordinary facehugger can hug a dog or a human and the appropriate alien would be hatched.
For now, take a step back:
If the predalien had no implantation traits, then it's simply an alien with predator traits.
Then think, implantation is a facehugger trait. (Not a queen, my mistake.)
So think, its not a queen trait that the Predalien has, its a Facehugger trait. Once again that trait could be coming from numerous possibilities like not having a queen around.
The tree follows like this:
Facehugger -> Drone (and its spinoffs) -> Praetorian -> Queen.
Well... effects were better, I liked that they wanted to have the original predator back. But the storyline was better in AvP1, even tho I hate that idea that Pred goes and helps some stupid human, lame shit idea. I personaly liked AvP2 more, however it was a waste to brig the storyline back to earth in AvP2 it could have been so much better like that craft would crash on some planet that it would have been found few hundret years later or something that would have been better.
But then there is the reality that Predator...if it just stayed in stealth mode, it wouldn't have sustained injuries. Isn't that why it didn't die easily in Predator 1 and 2???

Its okay, they seem to do that a lot. In Kingdom of Heaven, they use a 13th warrior track near the end. I caught it as soon as it started playing because I've listened to the 13th warrior soundtrack about 200 times.

After watching Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem, I realized what a good movie AvP genuinely is. The storyline might be a little weak and if someone watches AvP before the Alien and Predator series it would seem stupid to them, but the visual effects and fight scenes are superb. At least the movie is not dark and as ridiculous as AvP:R. So give it a break and stop cursing AvP guys! That includes you, girdwain55...

For starters, they need to stop making these movies take place on earth and in te present, this all should be a little bit after Aliens.
Second, they need to realize that their is just too much story to fit into an hour 1/2 to 2 hours. They should make a series of this on HBO or something of that nature. It would be much more successful and would gain fans from the outside.

Oh and the past alien and predator movies have been such a great success. Unless if you can point out to why it would suck other then bad directors and story tellers, I don't see why it would, and there would not be a need to to fit 3 stories into 1 1/2 hours which really takes away from it. If you think fitting 3 stories into that much time is good, that is why the past movies have been failures.

this was a bit of a let down this movie,but still better than the second 1,really these should be epic movies.with much better story lines.they need to get back the suspence from the first pred and alien movies,the scary thing bout pred 1 is that most of it is in the day and u cant see whats chasing and theyve lost that idea ,it would be cool to see pred kickin butt in day using his weopons and invisibilty,and the suspence of the alienmovies needs more off.

people say that the predalien in avpr is a young queen because of the flat spiky head and the ability to put the chestbursters in the hosts since it cant create eggs yet so that means a a queen facehugger attacked scar predator in avp

Not necessarily, a facehugger implants its host which then the embryo changes and mutates into a form of its former host. Ideally, the embryo didn't sense the presence of a queen so it produced queen-like additions or features. The amounts of ideas that lead to the changes could be limitless.
But there would be no sense of a 'queen' facehugger, as portrayed in the game AVP2. The Praetorian was a matured drone which would become candidate for queen once the current queen died.

dude!the queen facehugger is the praetorian facehugger it means the same thing any way.the preatorian facehugger iplanted the scar predator then it got some of the characteristics of the predator(like the runner since it face hugged the dog(ox in the directors cut) then it got some traits)the pretorian or young queen became a hybrid so why do you thing a drone can turn to a queen then why didnt the drone it alien(1) turn to a queen.and so,thats the why the predalien got to implant people.

That's because the drone in Alien 1 did not have the necessary time to mature into the praetorian stage then into the queen stage.
The facehugger is a GENERIC alien, with 1 purpose and NO subclasses. An ordinary facehugger can hug a dog or a human and the appropriate alien would be hatched.
For now, take a step back:
If the predalien had no implantation traits, then it's simply an alien with predator traits.
Then think, implantation is a facehugger trait. (Not a queen, my mistake.)

So think, its not a queen trait that the Predalien has, its a Facehugger trait. Once again that trait could be coming from numerous possibilities like not having a queen around.
The tree follows like this:
Facehugger -> Drone (and its spinoffs) -> Praetorian -> Queen.

Well... effects were better, I liked that they wanted to have the original predator back. But the storyline was better in AvP1, even tho I hate that idea that Pred goes and helps some stupid human, lame shit idea. I personaly liked AvP2 more, however it was a waste to brig the storyline back to earth in AvP2 it could have been so much better like that craft would crash on some planet that it would have been found few hundret years later or something that would have been better.

This and Jurassic Park 3 were pretty disapointing, I was a huge fan but somehow it turned to go down and all about money.
Can't they make something in space like old Aliens? Why it must be on earth? And not to mention Predator+Human? What in the blue hell are they doing there? If it would happen in Freddy vs jason, fine but in AvP get the fuck away with that shit. AvP2 was again on earth c'mon man, dont you have something better to think of?

AshPeace: I love that idea of Predator + Human, Predators dont kill unarmed people, they are looking for challenge... and there they were fighting for survive, Predator didnt have time to concern about some human, who couldnt harm him, just the opposite, she could help him.
Freddy vs Jason? Helping people? Wtf? :) Never, they are evil and rotten from core... Predators are not, Aliens are... but Predators are just hunters. People hunts animals too, but that doesnt mean they hate that animals

But Predators do not see humans as equals unless they are to prove themselves (Glover killed a predator in P2 so the predators found him to be an equal). The girl in this movie did nothing to prove herself, a predator would not join with a human because he's at a disadvantage, that's rediculous. This was the Predators' manhood ritual, what do you think he'll say when he returns home? I had a human girl help me? It's dishonerable. Dishoner is worse than death for predators. This film blows.

Danny Glover killed a Predator in Predator 2...did you see them ask him to come along for the ride when they took off from the ship? Sure they didn't kill him but they still didn't see him as an equal...I still remain on the idea that this movie blows.

Its okay, they seem to do that a lot. In Kingdom of Heaven, they use a 13th warrior track near the end. I caught it as soon as it started playing because I've listened to the 13th warrior soundtrack about 200 times.

I prefer the universe of AVP2 pc game ! with space marine (With charismatic hero like bishop....), alien ,predator and space jockey freaking base :) ,when you see an universe like that ,their are one conclusion ....all avp movies produced are shit ^^

After watching Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem, I realized what a good movie AvP genuinely is. The storyline might be a little weak and if someone watches AvP before the Alien and Predator series it would seem stupid to them, but the visual effects and fight scenes are superb. At least the movie is not dark and as ridiculous as AvP:R. So give it a break and stop cursing AvP guys! That includes you, girdwain55...
