  • im such a newbie at this stuff so could you tell me if everything work like you can still use it without the sound card cause i wanna get it but i dont no if ill be able to get the soundcard?

  • @sochrisp257 cheers mate, yeah think I'm gonna get a mixtrack pro :)

  • Right, I know I sound like a dick, but I've just been using Virtual DJ for ages and I really want to buy one of these, but do I need an amp if I want to play it through speakers? and do I need a mixer? sorry I literally don't know the first thing :/

  • @olliepayne96 an amp or two is best if you want to mix at a party. headphones are best along with speakers because you need to be able to hear what the audience currently hears in one ear + plus what you are about to mix next in the other. a mixer is awesome because you dont need to use your mouse with VDJ. if you're really commited to learning how to DJ, buy a $100-$200 numark mixtrack or mixtrack pro. best setup for learning is a mixer and headphones.

  • nice mix:)

  • I wear my sun glass all motha fucking day... Nice mix bro

  • This Is Good..

  • 0:11 Nice transition

  • @Colbs333 yes

  • whats the blue machine next to your mixer? and help me out im a new mixer just gettin started want help and opnions please!

  • @DJTannerBarcelos its a mixer and also my soundcard

  • is the audio coming from the laptop speakers?

Sorry I'm, super new to all of this.

I have stereo speakers hooked up to my desktop so would that work?

  • @SalladSupport yes you can use stereo speakers to listen to audio

  • How did you get the audio so clear? Were you recording from your computer or a camcorder?

  • @ThatGuitarStud i recorded with my computer

  • @ThatGuitarStud

he recored with a camera, and took the audio away, and took the recording from VDJ, and added it

  • great work man. really inspirational.

  • @quachified thanks!

  • how do u transition and from song to song

  • @zainkool by mixing, using volume faders, the crossfader, and the EQs

  • nice

  • real dj's don't use auto sync. we use our ears and Cdj's or Turntables.

  • @dirtbikeq true, but if one can beatmatch properly, one doesnt need to do it all the time just for the sake of being a "real dj". as long as you can do it if you have to or need to, thats a great skill to have. i wouldnt want to sacrifice being creative with effects or being able to do other things just because i forced myself to beatmatch every single song. thats what sync allows you to do-be more creative without having to spend the time to beatmatch.

  • @Pearlsrxk I agree with both of you, coming from cdj, to controller. However I think being good enough to beatmatch and mix quickly you can still be creative with effects, loops and samples. ;p "Love Music!"

  • @dirtbikeq real dj's respect how others want to mix their music.

  • @dirtbikeq Thats not true at all, Tiesto uses sync

  • @dirtbikeq oh so you're a "real dj" :) ?

  • 5:07 - 5:26 that was fuckin sexy!!

  • OMG THAT MIX WITH MJ AT 7:00 WAS GENIUS! What was the other track? Sounded like deadmou5.

  • if i get this would it work with the midi fighter pro? please tell me thanks

  • @BbmTheBuilder yes it will

  • you're pretty good 4 a beginner!

  • ok i really have a important question ive been asking almost every single video i hope u can reply soon :D

Well I Have The AUDIO 2 DJ soundcard and 2 RCA Cords Connected on To a ANOTHER Mixer that Some Guy Told us To Buy To Be Able To Cue This Well I HAve My Headphones Connected To The Mixxerand It Still Only Plays the Side That My Speakers Are Playing Please Reply Soon i need Help D:

  • @GiftedKillz you should be able to cue just from the audio 2 dj alone

  • i have one. it works with everything i've tried if you map it right. i like vdj, except it doesn"t have a sweet limiter or master compression like cross.

  • yo nasty mix broo

  • Nice smooth mix. My mixing style is more smoother and longer with a discrete changes but I admire your mixes. and yeah please could you let me know if I have yo get a sound card to run headphones

  • Could you plug headphones into your laptop and play the music through that instead of buying a soundcard?

  • I luv this dude:-) I haven't seen such smooth transitions before with numark:-) Bravo !!!!

  • I got Traktor 2 would Numark Mixtrack be compatible with it? Does it automatically sync or? I'd really appreciate it if you could answer me asap cause I'm like about to hit the order button on Amazon.com haha

  • @moporama yes it will be compatible with the mixtrack. it should rly just be plug and play, bc theres a file that comes with traktor for the mixtrack that has everything already mapped out. just plug in and dj. if you didnt actually buy traktor 2, just make sure that you have the mixtrack.tsi file in there

  • Cool!;)

  • if anyone has any questions about soundcards and other things, please see my video response above. its a tutorial I just uploaded. thanks!

  • thought of getting an s4? much better preformance

  • @aopordigybro yep, ive been thinking about getting it for a while. great product

  • hey bro am thinkin of getting this product but on back of da mixtrack is der like RCA output like to connect to ur amp den to speakers or like how can u connect dis to speakers?wat is der on da back?

  • i am buying the mixtrack pro soon but i want to use the traktor pro 2, will it be compatible? and i am using a mac.. any suggestons? helpp!!!!!!1 pleaseee

  • @Mrdetail41 yes it will be compatible

  • @Pearlsrxk is that what your using in this video? pls reply? and how did you set it up?

  • @Mrdetail41 im using traktor le here, but in my recent videos im using traktor pro 2, and no you do not have to map anything, as long as you have the pre-mapped tsi file from traktor, the mixtrack will be completely compatible. the tsi file usually comes with traktor when you download it

  • did you have to map anything?

  • Does all the cables/cords come with the turntable? PLEASE someone reply!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Tobers516 the only cord that comes with the numark mixtrack (not pro version) is the usb cord, which is attached to the controller. as i dont have the pro version, im not sure what else comes with it

  • you still using just the mixtrack for your mixes?

  • @gannas138 yep! in my newer vids i am still using the mixtrack, though i have other various midi controllers i experiment with every now and then. i am also looking to upgrade to another device, perhaps the traktor kontrol s4 or something similar

  • @Pearlsrxk thanks for the reply, I'm totally new at this. are there any links you can suggest that I can read or videos for me to watch to learn more about how to dj

  • What is the mix name of Taio Cruz's dynamite. So sick with your mixes man.

  • how do i hook up the xlr cable with this?

  • You recommend that can be used for a set at a party

  • what model of macbook is that ??

  • @la9 mac pro 13"

  • hey man, great mix!!! i really enjoyed it! i was wondering, whats that blue piece of equipment you have to your right? thanks!! keep it up!

  • @AlexPalacios97 thanks! glad you enjoyed it. the blue mixer was my old soundcard and I also used to use it to control effects in traktor pro, though I didnt in this video

  • what name of second song bro nice

  • @OUWATZAHLE08 let the bass kick-Chuckie

  • can you give me your tsi file or config file for traktor ?? please

  • @LAskeHosting it comes with the mixtrack

  • LOVED it when you dropped Daft Punk, nice one!

    -Joeh-

  • @grandultra thanks! glad you enjoyed it!

  • gd work dude...:) -dj vini

  • gd work dude...:)

  • 123$ americano at amazon

  • sick.

  • u could use the mixtrack pro with traktor?

  • @rockonhockey yes

  • whats with pitbul and benny benassi? lol

  • @FMLbot that song sampled bennasi

  • Awesome mix bro

  • how you record the audio? ? ? because i got the mixtrack also.

  • When i put my headphone im my mac.

    It can work?

  • well done man... ur a good dj..

    keep it up man

  • @rolando2088 thanks!

  • How does the knob feel? Are they too soft or offer some resistance, like regular mixers?

  • @cdechery some resistance

  • can you do a video on how you connect all this stuff?

  • @ceomeye Sure, I may be able to do a video on how to connect stuff

  • fucking dirty kid

  • Can you use headphones with this thing?

  • @PrAggro nope, you need an external soundcard. the mixtrack PRO version, though, includes a soundcard and costs about $100 more than this version I am using.

  • @Pearlsrxk Gotcha, thanks alot. I'm ordering the regular Mixtrack as we speak, if I decide differently after it arrives I'll just order an external one afterwards. Cheers!

  • @Pearlsrxk Lmao the pro is only £169.99/$1.99

    I have it :L

  • @decabb24 when it first came out it was a lot more than it is now

  • @PrAggro With a cart song .. Or with the pro .. Yes u can

  • I don't care at all that your using sync or if the songs aren't in the same key... I've got a Mixtrack too, you're workin' that thing, keep it up!

  • @tonioTHEpowerful thanks, check out my newer mixes, most of the tunes are harmonically mixed.

  • transition at 5,35 is mad that kinda shit gets me amping congrats bro

  • @Gizz2Brizz thanks!

  • @aznballer6021 this is 2011... DJing has changed. Like it, or lump it.

  • What kind of soundcart are you using??

  • nice work... i really dont care what anyone say's about using this or using that.. if u know what u doing and u make the party ppl more drunk , and u get some ass, fuck it do you.!!!!! even if i have to SYNC all night hahahaha.... peace..

  • hey how did u record ur audio on the tracktor le

  • yo i have the mixtrack and i still dont know how to correctly use the headset

  • the numark mixtrack dj controller is a DJ software controller more than adequate for the beginner DJ but also more than adequate for the professional DJ as well.

    Choca (Darwin, NT)

  • nice mixing

  • Ah boo. I just noticed you hitting the sync button. I guess it takes the guess work out of it.

  • @IPunchfish i dont think theres anything wrong with using the sync button. Im able to beatmatch by ear, but using sync allows for more focus on other things, such as effects or smoother transitions. plus this was the first video I ever did and was only DJing for a few weeks

  • Watching you helps out a lot . Post more dude.

  • killin that shit bro i cant wait to get mine :D

  • around the world to Ghost and stuff. Niiicccee

  • How do you seek your position in a track on the Mixtrack? Can you use the platters to quickly scroll true a track?

  • @MegamartNL yes

  • Great MIXING and song choice !!!

  • @ROEJONO thanks!

  • @Pearlsrxk is this your first controller/How did u learn i used vdj im wanting to get this for practice and to advance beet matching skills

    =P

  • Where do you source your music / mixes from?

Got myself a mixtrack pro and trying to learn the ropes lol...

  • damn bro do work this is awesome

  • Do you take into consideration the key when mixing your songs? Like using a program like mixed in key or something??

  • @nicohockey9 for this video I did not consider the key. if you check out my newer vids, I all of them except maybe my new years mix, were analyzed for their key in a program called trainspotter (identifies key and helps tag and sort your music, and its for free/donation).

  • good work man, is it all mapped up for you when you use traktor ?

  • @bonniewheatley1 thanks! and yes it is.

  • just goes to show you that thing can do A LOT

  • Im wondering, how good is the response of the plates for scratching? thx

  • @fedejair the response is pretty decent. They are definitely fun to scratch with, but I find that they need a little more responsiveness and a less slippery surfaces. I would not recommend them for a scratch dj, but for someone who likes to scratch in a tune once in while during a mix, they are great.

  • i really like your style u actually got skill man but i have a question i have traktor le wich doesnt let you record... is there any way to record????? - audacity i trie and it doest work it would be amazing if you could help me out thanks

  • @Stefaman2 nope, LE doesnt let you record. make sure you have all the inputs and outputs right on audacity. also, are you using an external soundcard?

  • @Pearlsrxk no im not, do i need to and the thing is that audacity only gives me a few options under recording Payback Devices -microsoft sound mapper(input) -speakers(Sound maxspeakers) -Spdif interface(Sound maxspeakers) Recording Device - line in(sound max speakers) -Microsoft sound mapper input Microphone array(Sound maxspeakers) I have the numark mixtrack that i think doesnt have a sound card any suggestions???!?!???!?? Thanks
  • @Stefaman2 I dont have a traktor, but I'd guess if you hooked it up to Virtual DJ Pro software, you could record mixes on there. Virtual DJ basically lets you record anything, and Im pretty sure the traktor le is compatable with it

  • @valax300 k thanks

  • super nice dude! sorry if i talked shit on one of your other videos. clearly you've got this whole mixtrack thing down much better. the g6 part didnt come quite as smooth as it couldve but good enough for parties, right. mine's supposed to come today, now im very excited to get started.

  • @robbysauce I didnt use g6 in this mix...

  • Very nice mix, with a little bit of everything... I got the same gear as you do; just a question, what do you use to record the mix?

  • @FingerBoy10 As in software, I meant...

  • @FingerBoy10 traktor pro to record, or sometimes I route traktor's output into ableton and record with ableton.

  • @Pearlsrxk what if it just came with virtual dj LE? is there another way to get the mapping?

  • Hey how were you able to configure the numark controller with traktor?

  • @AwesomoPenguino I used to traktor pro mapping file that is on the numark mixtrack's cd. there are two version on this file, one fore traktor Le and traktor pro. so you select the traktor pro mapping

  • Really good stuff dude!

and btw, what is the name of that "Boom Boom, and shake shake and drop"?

  • @Rasted12 i dont remember...type it into google

  • @Pearlsrxk Okay ;)

  • @Pearlsrxk Found it thanks :)

  • @Rasted12 move shake drop by DJ laz

  • hows your sound so good ??

  • @irahg12 im using an external soundcard (the blue mixer to my left) and also I recorded the audio in my computer and not using the camera's microphone.

  • @Pearlsrxk Okaai , thanks

  • Nice :)

  • @irahg12 thanks!

  • this is real dj work!!! god job man!!!

  • @AZERILA24 thank you!

  • does the mixtrack work with VDJ

  • @lancsno1 yes it does. I think there might be a pre-mapped file you can download so it works with VDJ but if not you can just map it to whatever program you want, including VDJ

  • @Pearlsrxk what did you do to make it work with traktor? any drivers? or did you just map every individual control to traktor?

  • @ian7410 it works plug and play with traktor. there should be a file that has everything mapped out already.

  • i dont like the sunglasses song, but that was a pretty good mix. i think you could have smoothed it out better at one or two parts so it smacks a little harder. good tracks in there. some sick timings too.

  • @robbysauce check out my newever videos, I did this when I was a beginner, thus the un-smooth transitions. and I like the the sunglasses song, thats why its in there...

  • does anyone know they name of the second track he played?

  • @javier809 tracklist first three songs are dj got us fallin in love (usher), let the bass kick (chuckie) and sunglasses at night (corey hart). I didnt know whether you needed the chuckie or the corey hart song seeing as how there isnt much of the usher song in this vid

  • this is some sick shit dude keep it up

  • 3 Dj's were in doubt

  • @meltmeltproductions i thought it was good.

  • pieknie

  • Wasup I watched all ur vids nice stuff :D But could you tell me where you get your remixes of songs? or if you do em yourself and how you do em? Thanks

  • can you please say me wath the tracklist is thx man its a very nice mix

but somthimes you load a track in and you spin the jogwheel back do you have your cues very in the song?

  • @100oelie tracklists are at the end of the comments on all the videos for this mix. I was using Traktor LE here, which doesnt allow you to save cues.

  • nice mix man.

i'm really considering getting one of these but i'm gonna use mine for dubstep i think

  • @thedangermonty isn't there enough dubstep yet??

  • @robbysauce

    haha almost. it depends.

wobbles have become a little overrated.

but more dub style dubstep is rare these days

  • @gnrblfan you need an external soundcard and make sure you have the appropriate inputs and outputs in traktor's preferences audio setup correct

  • good mixing!

whats the name of the song starting at 2:10?

  • @AussiePat thanks! dynamite (ken c light it up remix)-taio cruz

  • @Pearlsrxk are you using an external soundcard for cuing?

  • hello I bought the mixtrack pro today but I do not know how to enable sound in the headphones.!!??? thx =)

  • @rogerio011 I dont know much about the PRO since I only have the mixtrack without the soundcard, but perhaps if you made sure that your output and inputs are right. I suppose you would just have to make sure the mixtrack is selected for both

  • @rogerio011 If you are using your computer speakers you need to plug them into the RCA inputs on the back of your mixtrack. You will need a headphone to rca adapter, they have them for abour 7 dollars at radio shack!

  • @ramatanane i need conect into the "tow" RCA inputs on the back of the mixtrac? or just one?
