  • At first it sounds like a Nirvana song, but then the drums kick in and you know its very different.

  • extremely underrated track

  • cat

  • I have this song on my special edition of The Bends... however its a different version of this song, I guess I have the live version and I cant find it on youtube !

  • @lebloulou there is no live version of this song

  • @FacultyBob weird.. I still have another version on my album tho.

  • oh... I miss this song!!!

  • i'm obsessed with this song. I play it 20 times in my car

  • My Auntie's favourite song. MUST. GET. ON. IPOD.

  • haha u did good thing! :D

  • nearly a decade ago I heard this song on a mixed cd a girlfriend gave me. which also intoduced me to Portis Head'sGlory Box, and Massive Attack's Teardrop. But I lost the cd before I googled the lyrics to this song, only remembering the word "Molasses". I had this song partly stuck in my head for nearly ten years and finally realized its style was similar to Radiohead, YT'd Radiohead - Molasis, and finally hearing it again is to relive why I fell in love with trip hop & acid jazz

  • One person doesn't like molasses.

  • oh jesus B-sides too

  • this is sexy - I could kiss it

  • Thom Yorke on the cover.

  • Does anyone know if there's another, slower version of this song somewhere? I'm almost sure I used to have one, but can't find it anywhere...

  • That cat has myxomatosis.

  • @Mcshitlove I don't mean to be anal...but Myxomatosis is a rabbit disease.

  • @Armistice0 i know i was referring to myxomatosis the song.

  • @Mcshitlove I know I know, but I'm just saying, cat's can't get Myxomatosis.

  • i haven't listened to this since i first bought the single when it came out. I remember I loved Banana co but hated this. Quite like it now though!

  • juste enorme simple mais tellement bon, ils ne cesseront jamais de me faire rever, encore merci pour tout

  • This song is called Molasses

  • Imagine Muse doing a Radiohead song in the style of Nirvana Unplugged, well this is the result you would receive.

  • sounds like nirvana

  • @Qenner I felt that straight away.

  • simple & beautiful

  • Holy mother of Thom, why are there so many tracks of Radiohead I haven't heard yet?

  • nice song, but for some reason it reminds me of some music from one of the spyro the dragon games.

  • I like this song. There aren't many words, but it has meaning. Molasses is the by product of cane sugar. Its about how we make agreements and disscussions with people like hitler and then the result is the environmental state of the world right now. Thom loves talking about our environment and stuff. and bascially its about how our world is becoming bitter (molasses) and messy.

  • erm, wtf is with the cat.... :P:P:P

  • @blackblackgrey It's the album cover for the Street Spirit single wich included this song :]

  • @blackblackgrey the cat part its why i clicked haha oh and radiohead :P

  • @tuvalwolf Ohh sorry, my fault Mr Grammar Nazi, I'll fix that that sir :3

  • @tuvalwolf you're a douche.

  • @yousuperpussy I'm a douche? well, yep... I am. But your username is douchy.

  • @tuvalwolf i wouldn't consider it "douchy" more so crude humor. but hey whatever the point is that everyone is in agreement.

  • @inferneko

    spelling, not grammar

  • @inferneko

That should be 'Spelling Nazi' not 'Grammar Nazi'.

  • @GeneralEarmuffs : I get it, you're being ironic by being a "semantics Nazi."

  • @tuvalwolf does it really fucking matter smart ass?????, its one word

  • @tuvalwolf you're an idiot

  • @tuvalwolf ur a faggot

  • @tuvalwolf steiw griffin

  • Thank you inferneko - I hadn't heard this completely before, and well, it's no surprise to me that it rocks like hell like all the rest of Radiohead's music. Thanks again.

  • thxs for sharing...

  • :o oh my god

  • the twilight shit bothers me too, but thom rules nonetheless. long live radioheaddd

  • this song is GROOVEY

  • this song has never been played live...

    thats a shame...

i really would have wanted to see this live.........

  • an oldie but goodie!

  • There are serious rumors about next radiohead's album , they'll play salsa and merengue.....i can´t imagine so, but let´s see how it sounds!

  • LOL That would be a little ankward, but whatever they do turns good.

Well, what I heard is that they're going to take a LONG recess from making music toguether for some years, and who knows If they will be back with other album or stop making music as a band.

The only thing I know also is that Thom is going to be feautured in the freaking New Moon Soundtrack, wth?

  • aw shit, fuck twilight

  • WHAT?! XD

  • @hinchapelotas2009

I seriously doubt that. But that would be A|WESOME! I hope the read that and do it anyways heheheheh.

  • @hinchapelotas2009 i haven't heard that..... and i doubt it

  • im in position to say:

    BEST SONG EVER (imo)

  • never country. but folk describes a small aspect of their work id say.

  • was one of my fave tracks back then. still such a goodie.

  • colin has a sexy bass line in this song x)

  • this is Thom's cat for sure, or not, but it would be cool

  • this song owns....1 prob, ive looked everywhere for the bass tab and i cant figure out the damn thing :\

anyone in the world knows the tab please tell me

  • I know the tabs

  • including the fill ins and licks?? if so show them

  • Yeah I know it all

  • send me a message or something of your tab so that i can compare to what i wrote and what you wrote

  • i have the tabs too

  • production on Radiohead albums are just amazing for their time. The albums do not need a remaster. Not for another 20 years.

  • the cats name is Molasses

  • ahh que sonido tan rico...relajante

  • Some of the B sides are just as good as the A sides.

  • @IrishEyedBlue

The Pablo Honey BSides are definitely better..

  • definitely not nirvanish for me, they were more passionated, less technics. UBER technic/felling balance in radiohead imo

  • well they were from that era so ppl cant help notice a little bit of that but Nirvana went into the more metal punk territory mind u they still kept some of it quiet but this as Radiohead is concerned Jazz/Country because its so groovy and acoustically inclined thats what i think

  • Radiohead is not country...

  • well to me in my experience it is mind when u think of country u think of those cheesy country cowboys and crap but accually that not what country is all about for example look at Led Zeppelin and Rebel Meets Rebel and the Almond Brother thats cool country so thats what i attribute when listening to this

  • Maybe, I dunno man, I still don't think Radiohead is anything close to Country.

They're more like... Alternative, but that doesn't really define them well enough either. They sort of have their own genre going on... Haha.

  • lol

  • Cool song. Not sure how you get Nirvana from this.

  • it sounds like a weird mix between slint (check out the song darlene and you'll know why)and nirvana or soundgarden with of course a radiohead touch.

  • sounds like something nirvana would have done lol

I love the radiohead B sides haha

  • ye true, its a bit nirvanaish ;p

  • Molasses, my asses!

  • The cat is awesome!

  • Being a Radiohead fan, this is great

  • Good music is nice to listen to, but ultimately, much of Radiohead's fan base comes from people who listen to the music solely for its complicated brilliance.

  • dont mean this song btw

  • Wow what awful advice and the way you contradict yourself is amusing to me. "They should work on making more good music because all their songs now are too brilliant and meaningful" - Pathetic

  • how do these songs go unnoticed? brilliant

  • They are not unnoticed, they are just singles (that always fail to compete in popularity with the albums). Completely unrelated thing-buy The Adventure Club Sessions CD before it is too late-you can still get a good copy for a relatively small price. For finding out what the heck it is, use the Enthernet.

  • Reminds me of Fritz The Cat, even the music is a little jazzy!

  • Great song... but the name reminds me of a 14 year old bottle of Molasses I found in the cupboard... strange memories.

  • very "beatle" i'd say

  • Immense.

  • brilliant!

  • Love it.

  • this song is crazy man, usually miss these crazy singles and stuff, only single I got is airbag, nice job dude 5/5......

  • reminds me of when i was 5 lol... listenin 2 it in me back kitchen lol..!!!! gr8 song!!

  • I find this song so underrated. The vocals are insane.
