there's no shame in living in the woods...that's how most people have lived untill the last 100 years...you're in NYC...it's easy to make a living pulling dents in supermarket parking lots (I know because that's what I do for a living) (yes, I'm a Gypsy)...use that money to secure building materials and build a small solar powered cabin for just a few thousand dollars...I am doing this by choice to free myself from mortgage, taxes, and the corporation...shame is all in your mind
at least...we have a choice....it is useles if we crying to the Government....take our own initiative ...grab a low pay job to survive no matter...how high your degrees.....rational tough...instead of doing nothing..with the empty tummy...if you beilive in GOD...yes for sure GOD allow this situation happen...to test our faith & Lotality....if you're not take a gun and pull the trigger or at least take can's of beer..and die slowly
how is homeless shameful the shame i owing banks for 30 years for a small piece of land you relies that's almost half your life just to own a house that they can still take if you cant cover taxes. or worse yet rent and just toss your money nowhere. but try to be different like owing a rv or getting cheap land and building a cheap house so you have no debt and all you get is targeted by the sheep to far brainwashed to see the fact all they are is a tax bill to are government.

Poor people have always had to deal with these difficulties. Now the middle class, who once voted against providing safety nets for the poor and were happy to see Roosevelt's New Deal dismantled, are finding out what it is like to live in a society that doesn't care about its poor. (Not much of a society, really.) I don't mean to be cruel at all, but it's really like karma. We didn't want to help our poor so now there's no help available to us when we become poor.

I lost my ability to work havent gotten pay in over a year I rely on my wife until my disability starts. We became debt free trying to build the home we want. If I started life like that 21yr old I would get a tuk tuk it can be registered and insured as a motorcycle I would build a motorhome out of it. Gogle tuk camper.

Living in Yurts is NOT homeless. Its an alternative lifestyle for sure, but not homeless. Some cultures still live primary in such tent like structures. All of us have ancestors who lived like this, and all of the early pioneers lived like this. Its not so bad as all that.
There is no shame in that at all. They honestly try to survive. Shame on Wall Street. Jump at least you fuckers. At least in the late great Depression the still had shame.

For some of us who've given it a whirl, being homeless was a great freedom from the expenses associated with renting,I was able to clandestinly set up a well camouflaged campsite in a thicket where I cached my gear and personal effects, everything else I sold or put in a $25 mo.storage.did this for two years.I enjoyed good hygene always wore clean clothes, ate well, slept well was dry when it was wet and warm when it was cold and as cool during the summer as a box fan would allow.and no one knew.

Homeless people are better off than the average working American. We are all tax slaves to a system of tax and spend. We are taxed for everything, property, sales, water, food, telephone, cars, tags, etc, etc. King George and the Stamp Act was a deal compared to the corporation known as THE UNITED STATES.
strive off of a life's savings of to get one step forward, but only to end up a 1000 steps backwards. The US gives money to the UN to help other countries but won't help these people. How can we give foreign aid when we have people in need? One tank or plane would feed all the homeless in the US for a year.
Shame? Screw those hippie bastards that say this is shameful! This is old school self reliance. People not taking handouts and forced to live under uncle sams thumb. These folks are patriots and kickass! Screw RTAmerica for saying otherwise.
honestly, i want to live like that. today people are spoiled with to many luxeries like cars, electronics, and so on. people live too simple of lives in my opinion. to get food all they have to do is go to a local grociery store or a walmart and buy food with their "hard earned cash" on what they want. now i know people are gonna say that some people work very hard for their money, and i respecy those people, they deserve what they earned.like food and shelter and money.
What is sad and makes me sick is all the handouts for forign countries and people who hate the U.S.. These people just need a boost to get back on their feet.
A few years ago when I went to the philippines I stayed a short while with local people who lived the old ways "Fire wood for warmth and food, growing and hunting your own food, ect" and I tell you I was more happier there living in poor conditions rather then in the USA living in luxious condition. Times are hard and may get harder so in order to survive don't be ashame to do what you have to do to make it. No one can rise forever and no one can fall forever either.
don't feel a shame'd because people who look down at these people get a kick out of it... they feed off your shame but if you keep your head held up high you'll see that the sobby people with home's are really the pathetic one's.........what you need to do is have a laugh take your mind of your problems.....i should know i was homeless when i was 12
I used to live like that. When I used to chase cattle for some people. Yeah, I used to eat fresh Rainbow Trout. Eat fresh Elk meat. I used to haul my water in.
Alot of people live like this on Native American Reservations.
Savers stores have 1$ sales on everything that is a certain color tag including furniture ect.... I had to wait @ 7am till they opened cause a line forms but I bought a whole bunch of blankets for 1$ each & delivered the to homeless people. I hope they have a savers near them or people go stock up on 1$ items 2take2 them. They should build wooden homes & then they wouldn't b homeless. build a forest community...just like in the past. donate seeds, fruit trees, ect... so they can grow food.
@IampureSol on Mondays & sometimes certain color tag items will be half off. Imagine they can get a couch, furniture, clothes, anything for 1$. That would help a lot.
guys if you live by these humans then be kind and take them a little food down there this winter and any spare clothing you dont need, we all can find are selfs in hard times.
Our economy today is tough. Through the military, I have trained my self to be self sustaining. I am used to living in the woods. Making shelter out of logs and leaves and trapping whatever food I need. More people need to prepare themselves for the worse in case it happens, and it has happeened to far too many.
i'm ashamed of our country , we do for all these other country's putting money out there for them and yet we have people homeless, hungry and ect. how does this work or happen. I just did a walk-a--thon because funds all low for meals on wheels that feed many elderly and ect.i walked 11 miles and do you think that will make up enough money for this program? I say HELL NO!
he shouldn't feel shame. living off your own steam is what we forgot. We were not supposed to work for the government and pay tax for shit we dont need until we die.
Thumbs up to all self sufficient people around the world.
So, god will get you rich to help the homeless? Is that what you meant? Im not sure. Why wouldnt he just help the homless? If its his will that they are homeless, shouldnt you leave them that way?
-Been aggressively looking for work now for two years and been laid-off last seven jobs. Going to buy a tent and some survival gear, bury my valuables in tupperware and fuck this shit I'm going old-school.
@plaugewolf its no shame man the shame is on the crooked wall str traders n they buddies who fucked a great country for their OWN greed can't blame the ppl at ALL Why so many ppl have to suffer for them Leeches pls God enough God bless you all guys n May the new ear brin better things for u all
Thats awesome. These guys need to grow when the season hits. 1 plant will give them an ounce. If they get a pound or a little more. All they'll need a fire, a coat, some soup and a couple steamroller rips and they'll be warm as hell.

They've cut down on overhead- that's good. Better these things occur than Big Brother and his gray-faced goons herding people in jumpsuits.

More people need to prepare themselves for the worse in case it happens, and it has happeened to far too many.

he shouldn't feel shame. living off your own steam is what we forgot. We were not supposed to work for the government and pay tax for shit we dont need until we die.
Thumbs up to all self sufficient people around the world.

Thats awesome. These guys need to grow when the season hits. 1 plant will give them an ounce. If they get a pound or a little more. All they'll need a fire, a coat, some soup and a couple steamroller rips and they'll be warm as hell.
