@thekadath : Ivan do it the 8.96 in Italy but they stolen the mark , saying the winter control "doesnt work" .... but he do it , even a foul for 2 cm´s he do it 9. 13 ( = 9.11 ). minute 1:03 .

Mike Powell had one great hit with that 8,95 (also 8,99 with +4,0m/s) but I don´t think that he is the best one.. My favorit is Ivan Pedroso and Carl Lewis. Í also love Fabrice Lapierre style of jumping.. His air-time is just amazing!

@arturengstrm Totally agree. Lewis is the GOAT by far I believe. Pedroso is my favourite to watch for the hitchkick style and Bayer is my favourite to watch for the hang style.

@arturengstrm May I add, Ivan Pedroso actually got 8.96, but another athlete in the competition was standing aside the wind-gage (preventing accuracy in mps apparently). So it could have been a legal wind!

@Chukojc94 It was pretty windy that day plus it was at altitude. only 4 marks out of ALL the long and triple marks were under the legal wind reading (you gotta figure 4 out of at least 60 marks)... we can safely assume that it was not a legal 8.96.
