  • Depends on where you live I think. I heard

    "wet on wet" when I was doing oils, but I heard "wet in wet" with this. It actually IS in.

    The paint gets in the water and disperses into it. Not ON it.

  • I'm a studio art major and just finished taking watercolor classes. It is taught at my school as "wet-in-wet" technique.
