First time I'm setting eyes on this man and .. WOW.. How gorgeous is he?? Classically handsome and that face! So expressive! He reminds me of old school Hollywood leading men like Gene Kelly or Cary Grant.
I can't believe people are referring to him as France's answer to George Clooney! And he's only 39! Well, you can't say it isn't true. baby got back for sho!
Wow, seeing this I remember seeing him for the first time on a TV show called "graine de star" it was a contest of wanabee artist singer/dancer/comédian...., one of the first modern talent show in france, it was about 15 years ago, he was there as a comic and was already outstanding.
What an incredible and succesfull road. It make me happy for him
I'm just so glad that there's a Gene Kelly look-a-like around in my time. I've been looking for one for ages. Let's just say that I've exhaused his imdb page.
As a French man I find it extremely ironic that the first French film to be this successul internationally is a silent movie when there are plenty of other good and perhaps even better films produced in France which do not get any recognition outside of France. Just goes to show that the Americans should actually be more open to foreign films and stop being so self-centred.
I love how his wife keeps taking pictures, like there won't be thousands of pictures of that moment in the press anyway. Very cute. And bravo to him, what a run this season!
wow je regardais "un gars une fille" tous les jours et la le voila aux oscar !! :O ités soo amazing !!! ;) Jean est plus qu un George Clooney francais c est un dieu du cinema ! :)
I'm french, so sorry if my english is not very good. Jean Dujardin is very popular in France, even before the Artist ! He's really brilliant ! I've a question, please answer :
@emsed19 I would hope so! I think he is wonderful, very talented and very attractive! He deserves all the fabulous recognition he is getting and I hope we get to see him in more movies soon! Also your English is great, don't worry! <3
I think that because he won an oscar and a golden globe for his performance that he will be very well-known. People will remember his name and he's very expressive. If people watched the Oscars or the Golden Globes then I would say, he has the potential to become very popular
@yvesvictoria I hope so. He also won the Best Actor awards at BAFTA (British Oscar) , the Cannes film festival , and SAG (Screen Actors Guild) . Every person that sees him falls in love with him. I hope he does one movie in America, he will be a HUGE star here.
@emsed19 I don't know about America but he's been on the news quite a lot in England. The Artist has definately gotten him more recognition from around the world. I's love to see him in more things but unforunately I'd probably only manage to understand 60% of what he's saying. I'm going to use him as an excuse to brush up on my French. Il est formidable!
@emsed19 Im European as well, but to be honest, I've never heard of him before. But now, everybody's talking about him, and we definitely started to learn his name. I think the's absolutely brilliant, u must be proud of him. Brilliant
He's so damn charming, he doesn't have to say a single word to win the Oscar...and when he does open his mouth he speaks french...Doesn't get any better than this, does it??
Now that he's an international star, I hope more people will want to check out the hilarious French spy spoofs OSS 117: Cairo, Nest of Spies (2006) and OSS 117: Lost in Rio (2009), both with Dujardin and both directed by The Artist director Michel Hazanavicius.
