  • @emsed19 yes he is getting popular in the us too, especially since his big win at the oscars last night. Oh and your english is great! :)

  • Wow, seeing this I remember seeing him for the first time on a TV show called "graine de star" it was a contest of wanabee artist singer/dancer/comédian...., one of the first modern talent show in france, it was about 15 years ago, he was there as a comic and was already outstanding.

What an incredible and succesfull road. It make me happy for him

  • can someone please tell me, "...and as WHO would say"??

  • @bkool24 Douglas Fairbanks.

  • he's brilliant

  • I'm just so glad that there's a Gene Kelly look-a-like around in my time. I've been looking for one for ages. Let's just say that I've exhaused his imdb page.

  • Mark Walhberg's enthousiasm is overwhelming

  • he is soo adorable aww

  • As a French man I find it extremely ironic that the first French film to be this successul internationally is a silent movie when there are plenty of other good and perhaps even better films produced in France which do not get any recognition outside of France. Just goes to show that the Americans should actually be more open to foreign films and stop being so self-centred.

  • Bravo Jean !!!!!! :-)))

  • Watch Brice de Nice is the best film of jean dujardin !!!

  • @Tueur2lOuest oh come on...that one is a shame for him... no OSS is much better to be watched !

  • Dujardin could make eating Velveeta Cheese funny

  • Vive la France !!

  • J'adore :D

  • Sean Connery + Clark Gable = Jean Dujardin

  • @emsed19 I'd say he's becoming more and more popular here, especially after winning the Oscar last night =) He's so talented and charming. Love him!

  • LOL Jean you're freaking hilarious!! And those independent eyebrows rock loool

  • I love how his wife keeps taking pictures, like there won't be thousands of pictures of that moment in the press anyway. Very cute. And bravo to him, what a run this season!

  • Jean Dujardin ! ;D best

  • De chouchou à The Artist.... ^^ le meilleur!

Trop contente pour lui! Enfin un français! =)

  • He's so charismatic, it's incredible. I love his accent. :)

  • Lord he's gorgeous! Hubba!

  • he is so beautiful (:

  • John from the Garden

Where is Bruno Dirty Charity ?

    Petit clin d'oeil à Farce Attaque. :]

  • I'm french, so sorry if my english is not very good. Jean Dujardin is very popular in France, even before the Artist ! He's really brilliant ! I've a question, please answer :

Is he very popular in America now ?

  • @emsed19 Not really. At least not to the mainstream audience anyway. But it's good that he made his voice heard here in America.

  • @emsed19 oui

  • @emsed19 I would hope so! I think he is wonderful, very talented and very attractive! He deserves all the fabulous recognition he is getting and I hope we get to see him in more movies soon! Also your English is great, don't worry! <3

  • @emsed19 i bet he is .. now that he won an oscar ;)

I think that because he won an oscar and a golden globe for his performance that he will be very well-known. People will remember his name and he's very expressive. If people watched the Oscars or the Golden Globes then I would say, he has the potential to become very popular

  • @yvesvictoria I hope so. He also won the Best Actor awards at BAFTA (British Oscar) , the Cannes film festival , and SAG (Screen Actors Guild) . Every person that sees him falls in love with him. I hope he does one movie in America, he will be a HUGE star here.

  • @emsed19 He is now :)...having won the Oscar for best actor. Il est absolumment mignon, ce mec!

  • @emsed19 I don't know about America but he's been on the news quite a lot in England. The Artist has definately gotten him more recognition from around the world. I's love to see him in more things but unforunately I'd probably only manage to understand 60% of what he's saying. I'm going to use him as an excuse to brush up on my French. Il est formidable!

  • @emsed19 nope not really?

  • @emsed19 Im European as well, but to be honest, I've never heard of him before. But now, everybody's talking about him, and we definitely started to learn his name. I think the's absolutely brilliant, u must be proud of him. Brilliant

  • @TheRoroki Me too, I'm Belgian (Brussels). I live in the US since 1994.

  • @emsed19 Oh Yeah He is!!

  • @emsed19 Oui, assez!

  • He's so damn charming, he doesn't have to say a single word to win the Oscar...and when he does open his mouth he speaks french...Doesn't get any better than this, does it??

  • t'es une legende J.D.

  • bravo mon chouchou !!!!

  • Super video ! It's a pity that this event takes place this night :-( ...

  • he speaks!

  • I love how he always pulls out a cue card for his thank you speech XD such a gorgeous man!

  • What's he talking about? He has the most beautiful face I have ever seen!!! Your gorgeous Jean simply divine.

  • I LOVE him so much!!!!! he was so great in the film!!! I'm so happy for him winning the Oscar tonight :)

  • He is so handsome

  • Yeah, Mark sounded absolutely thrilled to be there

Loulou still needs to practice is English ^^

  • Il le méritait tellement ce prix !!! Bravo, Jean !!!

  • La France a du talent ;)

  • Very moving, Jean dujardin. I'm really moved to tears watching Alexandra Lamy's pride expression.

  • 2:37 FAVORITE PART EVER

  • Now that he's an international star, I hope more people will want to check out the hilarious French spy spoofs OSS 117: Cairo, Nest of Spies (2006) and OSS 117: Lost in Rio (2009), both with Dujardin and both directed by The Artist director Michel Hazanavicius.

  • You gotta love this guy. He is the "combination" of Sean Connery and Roberto Benigni.

  • @AbGrey

I'm french and back in the days when he played in Un Gars, Une Fille (a french sitcom), I thought to myself :"hey, he looks a bit like Connery". But NEVER in a billion years I would have guess he would made it this far. I'm proud of him but... I'm still stunned by his sudden popularity outside France (probably because he goofs around a lot and some of the stuff he played in before were dumb or not very ambitious... I really wonder how his career is gonna be like after The Artist).

  • @FLdeargentina Berenice Bejo is French. She was born in Buenos Aires but she's french, and she's married with Michel Hazanavicius, the film maker.

  • If you like this guy you should check him out in OSS 117: Cairo, Nest of Spies. It's really funny. He's so perfect in it.

  • @Deprofundis142 i really like OSS 117 too

  • Oh COME ON, Alexandra, you're at the Golden Globe ! Put away that camera phone and try to keep your boobs inside that dress.

  • I'm from Kentucky & sadly he speaks better English than many people I encounter daily...

  • Jean Dujardin for the wiiiiiiiiiin!

  • Great actor i love him.

I'm so proud to be french too..

    Bravo Jean Dujardin !

  • ahhhhh I'M IN LOVE!!!!

  • i thought he was from south america...

  • I watched the Golden Globes and I saw him win this prize....but I had no idea that The Artist was a silent film until today!!

  • Super sexy accent! =^^=

  • Il fait honneur a la France !

  • @Caassandraa maybe he's French :D

  • That is one handsome dude.

  • What a beautifull movie... it make me cry. Its a great evocation of classic movies.

  • So Glad for Jean Dujardin. He really desserve all of this, one of our most populars acteurs. he 's not blocked in 1 kind of roles, he can play everything with so much natural, so much decontract... the most significative relief of Bebel!

  • LET HIM DANCE YOU BITCH!!!

  • c'est vrai qu'on a un accent de merde.. eh faut le dire :/

  • He would be perfect for a David Lynch movie.

  • Jean, ramène-nous un Oscar!!! :)

  • love his accent

  • @marciia13 french one ;D

  • his costar in this film Bérénice Bejo is so gorgeous

  • i didnt think i would like this film but it was really good

  • i loved the shuffling he did in the end!

  • even if i am french, i have some difficulties to understand him clearly :D

  • Bravo The Artist !!

He does't speak english".

People are like that, you can't change how they are.

  • @JuSpace000 I apologize for anglophones here. We're a crude lot :)

  • @JuSpace000 Well seriously, who cares if he can speak english or not XD he can dance and he is SEXY. Very sexy. Enough said. XD

  • @JuSpace000 Jodie Foster...Sigourney Weaver, Sharon Stone, John Malkovich, Chloe Sevigny

  • So proud of you Jean ! ( And some french DO speak english, thank you !)

  • Awww I love his accent

  • "And here is the impressive list of nominees..." Calm down Mark !

  • Bravo bravo et encore bravo !

  • Ouais je t'adore jean!!!!!!!!

  • Just watched The Artist yesterday, what a great movie. This guy reminds me of young Brando. Naturally talented an cool.

  • O.O TOO PRECIOUS FOR THIS WORLD <3 I want so badly to see the Artist, Ugh! Why is it so far awaaaay?

  • John of the garden.

  • His acting in "The Artist" is spectacular!!

  • :O Nipslip? 0:52 Naughty french! ;)

  • @sandragojani she is his wife.

  • Yeah!!!

  • Go Jean. Vive la France. On est fier de toi. We're proud of you !

  • His accent is just wonderful.

  • @mchicxoo isn't it ? xD

  • Bravo jean, tu remonte dans mon estime. Les français peuvent être fière !

  • Roooo Jeannot.... Trop la classe!!!

  • The French should be so proud to have such a legit talented actor from their country winning so many awards. He deserves all of them so much. I know it's not even somewhat close to the same thing, but I'm stupid proud to just be taking French in college hahaha

  • @422emily don't worry we're more that pround of our actor!! and it's not stupid at all French is a beautiful language (not sure I can be very objective on that but^^) but thank you so much for him =D

  • @422emily We are very proud of him. He's a very nice man, well known on French Tv and married to a delicious woman. I looove the film and Jean Dujardin (or Jean of the garden as he used to name himself on American Tv Show lol!) deserves all the awards he won. Thank you Emily and bravo pour apprendre le Français au Collège ;)

  • i laughed at alex with her cellphone x)
