@phonixgearfried7482 and how is that possible? the symbiotes existance has nothing to do with brock senior or mr parker..the first one (venom) was transfered to spiderman during secret wars from a machine that brougth out anything that spiderman would think..and blah blah blah blah blah..finally bonded with brock junior and blach blah blah blah..gave birth to a new symbiote what bonded into Cledus Cassidy so became carnage..

carnage is the "son" of venom, because the symbiote has the ability to asexually reproduce, therefore carnage...

but carnage also had a "son", named toxin, so carnage is also a father if that's what you meant because his symbiote reproduces just like venom's...

Brock has something of A Conscience as DCompose noted and thus there`s still some conflict while in Carnage`s case , Kasady`s A Bloodthirsty , Adrenaline Junkie Monster on A Power Trip and so`s The Symbiote ! This is why Venom refers to himself as " we " while Carnage refers to himself as " I " ! Venom is two distinct consciousnesses sharing A Body while Kasady and The Symbiote think of themselves as one being !

Yeah I find the ebay pricing confusing though, I have a great set of marvel cards from 1992 and on ebay I've seen it go for over 200, some for 100 and others as cheap as 25 and even 15. So I really don't get that, and others are selling just 1 card for 10 dollars. I'm new to this so I dont know what I should price my stuff at.

Kevin you left out a small appearance of Carnage.. It's a super small one, can't remember if it's the one right before his first real appearance or more, but he kills of a dude in like 5-6 panels in the end of one of the comics before spidey fights him..

Sorry, mate but I disagree. Carnage is NOT one-dimensional. And here are my reasons for believing that.

1. An insane, lethal killing machine that's near unbeatable.

2. A peversion of all the twisted values Venom stands for.

3. A fatal mistake on the part of Spider-Man and Venom.

4. A poor abused boy who was turned into a monster by circumstance and a cruel world.

5. A warped philosphy where law and order are lies, and evil is freedom and truth.

That's why he rules.

Also, if you check out stories like the very first Carnage issues, The Mortal Past, It's A Wonderful Life, Mind Bomb, Web of Carnage and the Awesome Spider-Man/Batman Crossover "Disordered Minds", you'll discover for yourself that Carnage/Cletus Kasady has PLENTY of depth to go with his lethal nature to make him an AWESOME character.

I believe the only reason some fans miss this is because he suffered the same fate as Venom. Was seen merely as a tool to boost sales and was overused/wasted.
