How to regain full recording time on a flip camcorder

Finally figured it out, had to put in 3000000, but I only got back 36:15, although I hav a 2 hr cam, def better then 00 which is what I had, lol. Thanx

THANKS SO MUCH! I FINALLY GOT MY 60MIN BACK FROM 36 MIN, FOR ANYONE WHO WANTS THEIR 60 MIN BACK INSTEAD OF PUTTING THE NUMBER HE PUT FOR 30 MIN PUT 1000000 FOR THE FULL 1 HOUR BUT THANKS TO THIS GUY I WOULD HAVE NEVER FOUND OUT HOW TO FIX IT THANKS!!!!

@RandomDukProductions Mine is 30 minutes, but if you look at the comments below, you'll find that you can change the number to something else depending on which camera you have. Good luck :)

Thank you so much!! ahh! you dont know how happy I am. I called flip a few months back, and that guy couldnt help me at all, and said I needed to send it in. I gave up on my flip and never really used it. But since Im going to Comic con tomorrow, I wanted to go on youtube to see if anyone posted a video of how to fix it. You did! This doesn't work! It doesn't actually clear the memory.

If you want to clear the memory, just like any device that gets cluttered over time just reformat it. Simple! Just plug the flip video camera in, go to 'my computer', right click on flip video and select 'format'. Give it some time to format (you'll see a progress bar) and when it's done you'll have all your memory back as good as new!

well, i only have the old flip ultra, so i guess it only works for that, plus other people have found this video very helpful, but i guess that flip must have been really messed up :D

Just install a new version of the flip shareware and it should reinstall the system and any other folder you may be missing.

WOW.

I have the flip ultra hd and I've been trying to figure out what to do to fix this. I did what you said and opened up the same file and put in a few different numbers to test them out.

My time was stuck at 1hr 33min, then went to 1hr 45min, then went to 1hr 34min, then down to 10sec. I put the number '2000000' in and it came up as 2 hr of remaining time.
