  • at 3:50 do u guys see the man in boxers easter egg

  • EPIC RAP BATTLE WITH THE MC

  • Booo!!! Ahe

  • ''I am a monument to all your sins''

My favorite line in the entire series so far.

  • Gravemind is quite scary afterall ~ :/ ~

  • Boo

  • 2401 pentaget tangent ,343 gulity sparks, and 049 abject testament are the coolest moniters ever

  • @wcharli1998 All monitors are cool.

  • I'm The Monument Of Your Sins - Gravemind

You Are Not A God Son Of Bitch - Me

    My Bad - Gravemind

    Hahaha xDD!!!

  • XD boo

  • tangent and regret sound like the big bang theory's Lenard and sheldon arguments

  • @thespecopgrunt I think you just figured out why I enjoy that part so much!

  • like if you noticed jason jones at 3:52

  • @gameronline152 Goddamnit. How many years have I been playing this game, and I just NOW saw this?!

  • 4:24 Master Chief say Boo!

  • Pretty funny listening to 2401 Penitent Tangent argue with Regret.

  • Thumbs up if you think Dee Bradley Baker was the perfect person for Gravemind.

  • Boo!!

  • This just reminds me how upset I was when they changed Truth's voice in Halo 3. He had the perfect douchebag villain voice in this game!

  • i imagine god sounds like grave mind with out the backgraound creepy voice

  • omg i love Keith David's aka the Arbiter's voice i'm getting flashback to when he played Goliath on the Gargoyles TV show

  • Master Chief: Boo

    Grung: Awwwksdjkfasdhgjkahdsrufhgaiue!!!!

  • im confused is the gravemind trying to kill the cheif or help the cheif?

  • @CoolPenguinStudios It's using chief and the arbiter to stop the prophets from activating halo. If they activate it, the graveminds food will die.

  • @loompf THX ^_^

  • Think about this, people:

That thing is the million-year old monster that brought down the most powerful civilization to perhaps ever exist in the Milky-Way Galaxy and is composed of trillions of the most brilliant minds in the universe. He survived the entire Forerunner military and the firing of the Halos. And Master Chief- ONE FREAKIN' HUMAN- took him down.

  • @Zlarel You're saying bullshit. This Gravemind is not the same than the one of the Forerunner-Flood War. It's a new one.

  • @MrOutkastBoy

    Ahem:

"I have beaten fleets of THOUSANDS! Consumed a galaxy of flesh and mind and bone!!!"

Do you seriously think the Flood had enough biomass to create a creature thousands of miles long from a few newly arrived humans and Covenant?

Besides, with the Forerunners and Flood, it's all about memory; even if that was a newly formed body, this Gravemind would still be the same one as before because he would have the same memories as the previous body.

  • It's a new Gravemind, but it still has the memories of the previous one.

  • @lordofthecrazies

One of the main themes of Cryptum is that memory is what defines who someone is. (spoiler) The main character, who's around 12 years old (I think they mature faster than humans) basically takes the place of a 10,000+ year old Forerunner military leader by the end of the book because he has all of his memories.

But, like I said, it's big enough to stretch several thousand miles in multiple directions, which would need thousands of times more "material" than was deployed.

  • @Zlarel freaking spoiler >_< i havent played halo 3 campaign yet damn my reading of the comments

  • @dragonxanimation

... in that case, Master Chief is eaten by grunts, Arbiter marries Miranda Keyes, and Truth reforms and opens a flower shop on Mars.

The Gravemind is alive but he's being punished by the UNSC for going all Japanese on Cortana with his many tentacles.

I sign off with that mental image. Peace.

  • @Zlarel lol that was funny but why cortana how about captain keyes daughter or that other lady cortana got ugly in halo 3

  • @dragonxanimation

'Cuz Arbiter would have whooped Gravemind into the next century with his Sangheili awesomeness. What other lady? Are you talking about Tartarus?

    ...

oh wait, that's another spoiler :3

  • @Zlarel ......i dont see how its just another person

  • @dragonxanimation

I was implying that Tartarus is a woman.

  • @Zlarel oh that stupid brute

  • Humans were able to beat the Flood in the past.

For Master Chief, it took more than just himself. It took the entire chain of events and lives to allow him the ability to take down the Gravemind. A combination through which the game refers to as "luck".

Halo focuses more on spec-ops rather than full missions. In the Forerunner's time, it was 3/4 of their own military converted to the flood. The Flood was powerful then. Here it only has some of the Covenant.

John activating the Halo, killed it.

  • Best Cutscene....... EVAAAR!!!

  • Arbiter is like:

Oops, i killed all the heretics just trying to explain about this.

  • Master Chief is funny at the end..... Grunt is like What the f... Master Chief: Boo Grunt: Holy shit run for your lives!

  • I I I'M A MONUMENT TO ALL YOUR SINS

  • I hate how the Gravemind is always trying to be philosophical. Annoying.

  • gotta love how the chief is jus so calm about all this 0:34

  • gotta love how the chief is jus so calm about all this

  • 0:30 oo!

  • a great fight arbitor with a sword and tartarus with a hammer on ther own with out playing just great animation

  • 3:51 did i just see a grunt pole dancing?

  • I always forget how UGLY Gravemind looks like...

  • FEEED ME SEYMOUR!

  • It looks so brutal of the Brute to smack that cute little Grunt! (@ 3:55)

  • kill the demon

  • How can some ppl not like elites? Leet is in their name

  • its weird how gravemind keeps on rhyming

  • *chief* relax, id rather not piss this thing off

    *arbiter* demon

*gravemind thinking* who are you calling a thing... the elite speaks the truth

  • 1.2 trillion simulated firings in 100000 years is 1 simulation every 2.6 seconds.

Slightly scary that the ring is constantly checking to see if it can kill everything

  • @Fa6ade Lol Nice Math.

  • 2:28 is that a grunt screaming?? lol

  • omg now i know where cortana got "i am a monument to all you'r sins" from

  • 4:06 lol the grunt is a camera man ^_^

  • boo!

  • what lvl is that at the end

  • lol "Relax ide rather not piss this thing off"

  • boo

  • 4:27, except for him.

  • This instillation has a successful utilization record of 1.2 trillion simulated and one actual. It is ready to fire, on demand.

I still love that line! It gets me everytime! :D

  • boo :D

  • It says the Gravemind is a ''collection'' of corpes to form a super biomass. It also is said to obtain memory and infromation of the corpes' past lives. So, in my conclusion, the gravemind couldn't have any forerunner corpeses in it. It must be Covenant, Humans, and Watchers ( Monitor, sentinels ,etc.. ) A pre-attempt was made on the first game on the level '' Keyes''. But, that is not the same one. Sooooo.... campaign anyone ?

  • I love Penintent Tangent.... F U Guilty spark !

  • 2401? wow thats alot of oracles lol and the cheif swearing? wow dont hear that often this cutscene is amazing

  • @halokid2010

2401 is 7 to the power of 4. Notice that 343 is also 7 to the power of 3. Master Chief number, 117, comes from 7^6, which is 117 649. The game makers, Bungie, really likes to plug the number 7 just as anywhere they can. Notice there is 7 rings also...

  • is gravemind more of a badass than chiefster?

  • This cutscene is amazing

  • Chief- "Boo"

    Grunt- "Wahhhhhaaaahhaaaa!!!!!!!!!"

  • and why does gravemind decide to send the arbiter to the ring and mc to high charity? to the best of its knowledge, it he hadn't even managed to convince arbiter before teleporting him, so what makes it so sure that he'll try and stop the firing like he's supposed to?

  • why exactly does the arbiter believe gravemind when it tells them the truth about the rings? he didn't pause to consider the heretic leader's argument early on, so what makes the flood more credible?

  • @zzxcvb98 The only reason he didn't pause to consider the heretic leader's words was the simple fact that he was being shot at by him. My guess is that when Gravemind let 'Vadam live he had a moment to add up everything, including the replacement of the Honor Guards.

  • yeah, but the honor guard replacement doesn't necessarily have a connection with the ring's alleged true purpose - even in the opening cutscene of "the great journey", the spec-ops commander still sounds like he's still loyal to the covenant and the prophets - "the prophets were fools to trust [the brutes]" etc

  • @zzxcvb98 he witnessed the brutes taking the elites place as honor guard, and when he realised the rinjg's true purpose, he based his hatred of brutes on that and so rebelled against truth.

  • oh thats miss Anzhlovar

    my history teacher

  • lol cheif at 4:28

    "Boo."

    *Grunt screems and runs*

  • hahah i see the jason jones cut out at 3:54

  • epic cutscene!

  • at 3:52, it is possible to see jason jones (aka the guy of the easter egg of halo 3)lol look at him, its the same guy with the hands at the head!!

    (better look at 3:54)

  • lol BOO

  • gravemind = jigsaw

  • @TheCorruptedSinner I guess it makes sense if you think about it, but there are still some things that don't make sense. Like how it teleported them, and how it got on Installation 05.

  • Space battle!

  • So why did the Gravemind "help" the Chief and the Arbiter?

  • @AlkkaPWN7 It used them to further it's own goals

  • Hey I wasn't aware my mom voice-acted for Gravemind's voice..

  • "Boo."

    Best. Line. Evar.

  • I wish I could talk like the Gravemind: a strong voice backed by a nightmarishly creepy one. I'd hide somewhere and freak out the first person that came along.

  • @Zlarel LIEK A RAEPIST?

  • @Zlarel not to mention iambic pentameter. Basically you speak like Shakespeare wrote.

  • @Zlarel Perpetually speaking in iambic pentameter must also be exceptionally fun XD What exultation one may wrought through such eloquent speech

  • @Zlarel Lol little sister also do that, who would have expeceted

  • @Zlarel What I would do with that voice is hide in the WalMart bathroom stalls. And every time someone walks in I'd say, "Welcome to Narnia."

  • @MrToki117

I can't explain how funny that is

  • When gravemind closes his "mouth" his "head" kinda looks like chiefs helmet

  • @TheDonutFox I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed that.

  • Gravemind was an overlooked villain in the halo series. He should have been the last boss in Halo 3 not the oracle.

  • I love the arbiter. "Kill me or release me parasite, but do not waste my time with talk."

  • Does that monitor remind anyone else of Robert Picardo?

  • Man Gravemind is one of the best characters in the Halo series.

    He even pwns Master Chief!

"I AM A MONUMENT TO ALL YOUR SINS"

  • Kill The Demon!

  • lol how many oracles are there!!??

  • @mrhitty seven.. maybe 8. one for each halo

  • @mrhitty Eight , one for each installation( the one in this vbideo betrayed the Forerunners and assisted the Flood in the Forerunner-Flood war, which is probably why Gravemind was able to obtain a monitor.)

  • Master Chief and The Arbiter First Meet!

  • do not meet me in real life because I will repeat this entire scene word by word xD

  • doesn't the gravemind look like the chief when his mouth is closed?

  • "You will search one likely spot, and you will search another. Fate had us meet as foes, but this ring will make ours brothers."

    -Gravemind

Good bit of foreshadowing going on here. Obviously, Arby N' Chief grow to respect each other. More importantly, this shows the intelligence level of the flood. They're not mindless parasites and there may just be some reason behind their madness...

  • he said 1.22 or something simulated and 1 actual fire .... that was the forerunners

  • that was a funnier side of the chief, he spawns next to a grunt and says "boo" and scares the hell out of the grunt

  • the chief gave some damn good advise i this cutscene "relax i'd rather not piss this thing off!" that iis good advise

  • "Fate had us meet as foes, but this ring will make us brothers."

  • LOL Arb says : "But do not waste my time with Cock" LOOOL

  • master cheif:boo

    grunt:grunt language for holy shittt!

  • gravemind is build by of dead bodies put together thats why you can hear like other voices speak at the same time the thing talks

  • 'Relax I Rather Not Piss This Thing Off'

    xDDD I love that part

  • "Fate had us meet as foes, but this ring will make us brothers!" Damn, I love that line!!!

  • you know how 343 has a laser, then why doesnt 2401 use his against the grave mind?

  • @MrCabllegoo117 he did its just that the gravemind has too many tentacles

  • "Boo!"

Chief has to say only one word to make a scene epic XD

  • i dont know how the heck they aren't scared of the gravemind. it would scare the crap out of most of us.

  • @posidon100 well one is an orphaned super soldier who has killed thousands and witnessed whole planets burned, and the other is a fanatical alien who has overseen the said burnings

  • i play this on the 360 now and it has a lot of graphical problems at this part especially but when you put it on an original xbox, the game is fine and there arent problems.

  • probably my favorite cutscene of the game

  • Relax i'd rather not piss this thing off

  • grave mind is like "yay action figures"

  • The chief should have had more lines in Halo 3

  • Rofl at 4:28 "Boo."

  • Penitent Tangent is the best monitor. they should show him more often.

  • so now the grave mind does poetry?

  • so whats the prophet of regret screaming about??????

  • WTF 3:53 NAKED GUY lol?

  • LOL

    Chief: "Boo."

*Grunt drops his weapon and runs away screaming*

I think that was my favorite Chief scene ever XD

  • u could here a background voice in graveminds

  • lol "id rather not piss this thing off!"

is gravemind like the controller of the flood i never figured it out

  • @stardestroyer85 yes gravemind controls all exsiting flood you tak gravemind out and the flood become mindless killing machines and are in a state to construct a new gravemind

  • i like this monitor better he's funy

  • lol. Master chief, "boo." grunt, "AHHH!"

  • The flood have changed since Halo Ce. There are more flood forms, they can drive vehicles, they have a leader now, wield many kinds of weapons and they can even speak garbled English language! Its almost like there....Evolving.

  • the prophets are stupid they let out the flood

  • the prophets did not let out the flood the flood has allways been a living thing.

  • @pranker121 yeah but the forerunners locked them up but the prophets let them out

  • grave mind must of have fun playing with his action figures till he over did his imagination and then said "oh damn i should of kept them and make 2 other suckers do the job" :p

  • "fate has made us foes, but this ring will make us brothers" thats may fav line in halo 2 (:

  • i watched this entire cutscene to hear the master chief say boo.

  • dude i love that

    boo....

and the grunt starts running i love that....

  • hey its penitent

  • lol, easter egg.

Naked Johnson with the group of grunts at 3:53. I lol'd.

  • someone should really think about brushing. sheesh i feel sorry for arby and chief cuz they had to smell that O_o

  • 2401 Penitent Tangent is better than 343 Guilty Spark.

and anglo git all of his info off of halopedia

  • @mikesmurf4pwns Ya Penitent Tangent is cooler imo too...And So what if i did get my info of Halopedia?

  • whos fighting in space?and why are the grunts trying to get inti that room?

  • @gmanthebeast1 the brutes are fighting the elites and the grunts are trying to kill the prophets

  • why

  • @gmanthebeast1 its the great scism look it up on halopedia put in 'the great scism'

  • i did it didnt explain why the grunts were trying to kill the prophets

  • @gmanthebeast1 the great scism wasnt just a clean split between brutes and elites the covenant was literally halved all the elites, but half the grunts, drones, hunters, was 0n one side and the brutes and half the others was on the other

  • oh so most the grunts were trying to help the tortured elite

  • Just now? Because of the outbreak of the Flood, panic is inciting them to riot.

  • Master Chief - "Relax, I'd rather not piss this thing off" LOL

  • when does the 343 guilty spark stop talking...

  • @lightfabric that is 2401 Pentinent Tangent monitor of installation 05.

  • Boo.

    Go Master Cheif!

  • I don't really understand the music at the end of this cinematic. It should be stronger and more driving. This also has to go down as oen of my favorite levels in the entire game!

  • why doesnt the penginent oracle escape, he could use his laser.

  • He's probably too damaged to do so. I mean look at him. He's practically falling apart. Also this isn't just some combat-form flood... this is the farkin' Gravemind.

  • @VeskoProductions he did because his eye is red instead of blue his laser probaly had no effect

  • 3:00 -
