i dont know if you still have this broblem, but your pc freezes because you have 2 hard disksand they try to boot together configure tha boot devices, hope that i helped :)
@SchijtXD The PC would actually load Windows 40% of the time. So, when it did load, I wouldn't shut it off for days and days. But, eventually, I shut it off, and it wouldn't come back on at all. I ended up replacing the motherboard, and it's working great now.
I've fixed the problem. It was the motherboard. There was a major communication error with the motherboard. Sometimes it would pick up the HDD, sometimes it would not. As before it would pick up the HDD 50% of the time, it got to a point where it would only pick up the HDD about 2% of the time. So, I bought a new board, and it completely fixed the problem. Thanks, everyone, for all the comments and suggestions!

@harrybebo I've done that already. No difference. Even through reinstalling it goes to that black screen sometimes, so I have to reboot. It's a craps-shoot every time I start up the machine if it will get past that screen or not.
@TheOmnipotentidiot No, I've just been living with it. Every time I start my computer, it either goes to that black screen or ends up loading properly. For some reason, it seems to be loading Windows okay now. Where as before it would only load 30% of the time and I would have to restart, now it seems to be loading at least 60% of the time. I don't have the money to replace things for the trial and error approach. I need a definite answer.
@Misyu44 What can I do if it is the HDD controller?
Also, there was no audio in this clip to begin with, and the video card does get loud when the fan is at full power. But, it only switches on every once in a while, and only for about 10 seconds. As the card runs normally though, there's hardy any noise.
it seems like your hard drive is not active which needs to be done within windows, Reboot with the windows cd and select to repair the windows installation and that should sort it....if it does not there are other options available to save your data but require another hard drive
@MrSpenz0r That doesn't work. When I try, windows goes to pre-install/load things from the CD, but then later says it can't find the hard drive. So I wait and watch the computer load for 5 minutes, just for it to tell me it can't detect the HDD.

your windows install is broken, it has nothing to do with the motherboard or anything, just reinstall windows

your prob is probably is that your hard drive is fucked and your pc cant find any of the drivers to run any of your shit
or if you have installed a new harddrive and not transferd any of your drivers
THIEI3LiNDGUY 1 year ago
@THIEI3LiNDGUY Windows doesn't require any drivers to boot a computer. Maybe to run the computer efficiently.
His HDD is just fucked and it has nothing to do with drivers.

Bios doesn't detect your HDD. Enter bios and try do something. It is fault od HDD or HDD controller. Try switching cables of hdd.

Instead of Windows, have you considered installing Awesome? I hear it's pretty awesome.
