@frantecar The music in the movie is all recorded live on the night of the concert. They re-shot some of the footage on a sound stage in England in order to insert close-ups and distance shots in the movie - that's why there are some crazy continuity mistakes in the movie (like wearing different clothes!). But what you're hearing him play is from the real concert, not over-dubbed. BTW, Earls Court and How The West Was Won are both better live Stairways than TSRTS.

This just blows me away. From the perfect instrument playing, epic guitar solo and fantastic vocals. I love how it slowly progresses from very soft to a very hardcore style of rock towards the end, one of the first of it's kind. But what does it for me is the lyrics, the various interpertations you can have, morals and allegories. The song simply isn't about going to Heaven. That is what is great about it. It's not like any of that modern garbage where everyone's a pimp. My favorite of all time.
