The problem is, the feelings are not your own but perceptions altered by foreign substances affecting the neurotransmitters (ALL drugs do the same). In short, the entire emotional part of any drug is fake. The after-effects are real (being 30 and living at your moms place, no job, no interests but drugs, social and health problems etc).

Dont get the wrong idea though, surely youre free to do whatever you want.
