Nas is much deeper than Rakim.. both are great though.. Rakim was dominate when he came out but Rakim doesn't touch the lyrical ability on ILLmatic or any of Nas' albums
Rakim is a sick brothert!! His rhyme schemes are peerless and steeped in complex word-play that sounds effortless, just as a right hook from Ali looks deceptively simple - yet both pack a powerful punch, and really, when you hear Rakim and Nas back-to-back, Rakim just has it down to a precise art - that's how good he is. Ageless, diamond-sharp, Rakim still wears the crown in Hip-Hop, no disrespect to Nas, of course.
@nino2u" Yeah, you nailed it. Ra most definitely. Not taking anything from NAS because he is definitely as lyricly agile as Rakim, but Rakim just seems to have a more commanding presence on a track. 'Follow the Leader' and 'Lyrics of Fury' just take you somewhere else. NAS kicks ass when rapping about the streets, but Ra is takes you to another place all together. He is truly a Timeless Classic

Rakim being called "God MC" must give you some kind of clue to Rakim's reputation in the Hip-Hop scene; and yes, Rakim HAS been crowned with the title of Best Mc by his own peers - brothers like Nas, GZA, the late Big L, 2-Pac, the list is long! I'd hate to see who you're dickriding!!!
@StreamerVideo: Ther can never be "one of the goat"; if we did this, there would be no end! But if were talking exacting punchlines like: "To me a writer's block is a good block to write on", or "Timeless, so age don't count in the booth, when my ryhmes stay submerged in the fountain of youth" - that's just sick coming from a veteran! You just got to litsen to "Remember That", New York (Ya out there) or The 18th letter just crucify Nas!! Rakim is called God MC for a reason.
@The12Jacob: I respect your opinion, we're all entitled to have one - and let's face it, Hip-Hop has always been about one-up-manship lyrically. The whole impetus of spitting is to create the illest content lyrically, then lay them to the best productions available. But my point was: not you, but there are countless cats who have a wealth of knowledge relating to Nas, but Rakim? Hardly anything! I think Rakim is a mad storyteller, and so is Nas. The verdict will always be out. Peace and respect
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Nas is a better a storyteller he can create a devastating match between lyrics and production he is better IMO he has compound rhymes that run over from one beat into the next or even into another bar, he's a fucking genius, Nas is the G.O.A.T. Rakim may be better but i like Nas more.
@poWeRFulfps: All respect, but when you say "no doubt", I assume there is no doubt that you have heard all of Rakim's joints post Eric B. & Rakim. I assume you have heard The 18th Letter, even Rakim's collaboration with canibus on Buss em? Man, cat's are eager to say Nas, but few listen to both in equal measure. I'm about Nas' age, younger - and I thought he was untouchable; but when you hear Rakim spit, this brother has it locked on every floor: delivery, metaphores, catch-phrases, Classics!
@yoedgar17: yeah, man, The 18th Letter by Rakim is explosively dope - and you're right: it's as though he's just riding on this crest, this flow, as if that's the way he talks on a day-to-day basis, then you think: "WTF?! This brother is spitting lava here, just skillz to melt the brain, and yea Nas I love with a passion, but skillz....gotta be the God Rakim, no doubt! Much mad respect to you though my man.
@fullyfunked Rakim out ranks nas, it was crazy not only a few days later after fully funked told me to try listening to rakim more clearly i realized how effortlessly he was rapping the 18th letter. it was almost like he thought of those words together as easily as you and i speak simple conversations to each other. Rakim holds the crown but i still love my brotha Nas.
@27gsmith: No doubt, Illmatic is a classic album, and Nas a wickedly dope brother. But cats often overlook Rakim's consistency: albums like Follow The leader, Paid in Full and the 18th Letter are classics - just a joint like Musical Massacre kills anything Nas has put to wax; then you got Waiting for the World To End joint for flow...his complexity and the skillz to make it sound effortless is what crowns him as THE best mc to bless a mic - hence Rakim AKA-GOD MC.
Oh mane, Rakim! Brother is sick. Recently stuck his 1988 album Follow the Leader on my dome, and joints like Musical Massacre, No competition, say it all!!! And I agree...his latest stuff is laced with lethal shit...this brothers flow and word-play is somethin' cats like Nas will never graduate to. It's fucking deep, and his delivery!!! WTF! I'm raised on new-skool, but Rakim is in another galaxy. Peace to the God MC!
Lyrical ability (metaphors, wordplay, etc.) - Rakim no doubt "He's so much in love with his bread the beef is nothing" fucking genious
Flow- i take nas just cus rakim seems to have the same tone and flow throughout all his songs.
Inspiration- there equal. Rakim paved the way for the art of emceeing, but illmatic is probably one of the top 3 hip hop albums ever and changed rap for the 90's
-point is, there both godly just stop arguing and listen to the messages theyre spitting
i would say they both same but since rakim came before nas and influenced him a little rakim is better overall but my favourite rapper between the two is nas
i understand that rakim is undoubtably in the top 5 but theres no question, nas is the better lyricist, metaphor utiliser, story teller and has the better flow, on top of that, he has brought to us the 2 best albums in hip hop history: illmatic and it was written. it was written is the moat underrated album ever to grace this earth
@fullyfunked Anyways you speak about rakim like you already know the outcome of every future battle he goes into. That's just ignorant, expect the unexpected, no way to know the talent of every MC (past or present) to be able to compare them all to rakim and say he's unbeatable. Just saying don't be so narrow minded.
@fullyfunked It seems like your not trying to leave any room for debate though. Yea opinions are here for the videos but I reasoned yours were biased because i seen all the videos you went on claiming rakim god. I had to jump to the conclusion that you were some sort of fan boy. Anyways your right, you have the right to comment as much as you want on any video supporting the artist you love the most.
@fullyfunked What I'm trying to say is your opinions are biased. Let people leave their opinions; as soon as you see someone leaning towards favor of nas, you start trying to shut them down going on and on about how rakim is god. These videos were put up for everyone to enjoy and comment on. You may say rakim is Goat but I can also say Nas is Goat; that's what opinions are for.
Nas is the greatest of all time, what the fuck you doing putting One Mic and I Ain't No Joke on this comparision? Don't get me wrong they are both ill tracks but if you want as good as a comparison as can be, make it NY State of Mind vs. Lyrics of Fury. Then we got a fucking debate, yo.
damn its tough. nas is more versatile in my opinion, while rakim has better flow. lyrics are about even. but you cant fuck with Illmatic!1 by the way, im a 17 year old white kid from the suburbs. WHAT?!?!?!
to me nas is better . nas is not only good in lyrics , but in the punchlines, flow and rhymes too , listen to "nasty" and "it ain't hard to tell" , it's full in amazing punchlines , specially at the end , and you should check out his verses in verbal intercourse and live at the bbq you will find how good is he in flow , and many others like nas is like , one mic and" you're da man" proofs that he is da best , rakim is for damn sure is great emcee i like the both
Nas maybe took Rakim's style to another level, BUT Nas made Illmatic (a masterpiece) and after that he fell off. Rakim has way more classics and he was a father to Nas' style, so I'd say Rakim. He put out more classics, although Illmatic is better than all of Ra's album. A classic is a classic and Rakim has at least 4 classics.
1. Rakim Allah 2. Nas 3. Guru of Gangstarr 4. Big Daddy Kane 5. Big L 6. KRS One 7. Buckshot Shorty 8. Masta Ace 9. Lil Fame of M.O.P. 10. AZ notable mentions, kool g rap, m1 of dead prez, smif n wessun, sean price, jeru da damaja, o.c., cl smooth, eric sermon, royce 5'9", chuck d, krayzie, layzie, special ed, mc eiht, wise intelligent, lord jamar, method man and others.
IMO this is the closest 'vs' video ever. that being said i would say nas. he just took rakim (and kool g rap's) style and ran with it. lyrical skill is about the same, maybe one has a hair over the other. but rakim has never made emotional poetry like nas has. if i was to be really cruel i would have to say that rakim mostly raps about himself being the greatest, which is good and all in the love of hip hop, whilst nas has taken other concepts and expanded in that way.
@getupandgetalife Who are you to make judgements and decisions on who's the best? Last time i checked YOU dont rap or even write lyrics like me. Im pretty sure i would know more. You are the definition of idiot, keep runnin your mouth with no factual evidence. Then you block me because you feel threatened by me aahahha you are too easy. You look like a pathetic coward to not argue, So you spam instead trying to make your argument stronger somehow. what an idiot.
Talk to me in PMs so i can explain in further detail of why Eminem is way better than Nas in just about EVERY aspect. Trust me dude, I study hip hop and have all the classic albums etc. I know about the lyrical side aswell which most ppl dont.
You honestly dont know shit and keep runnin your mouth like the fail troll you are.
@wickedwordpLay u prove nuffin. u say dat eminem is da most lyrical and then u say its cos he has da most complex rhyme scheme. lyrics r more than just complex rhyme schemes. complex rhyme schemes and more complex multies do not just make u a betta rapper. ur just an eminem dikrider. dats just like me sayin biggie is da best cos he has da best flow or aesop is da best cos he has da most meaning in his lyrics or gza is da best cos he has da best metaphors. u have 2 take a look at all categories
Fire burns in me Eternally Times Eternity Followers turn on me They’ll be in a mental infirmary Determinedly Advance technology Better than Germany Since the first days you know of Til the last days is over I was always the flower I made waves for Noah From a compound To the anatomy To the breakdown Of a atom Some of my rap patterns Still surround Saturn From the ancient hieroglyphics To graffiti painted pictures I study I know the scriptures RAKIM=GOD
Now let's be clear: this is not a discourse about the old school v's newschool, etc.
If we remove all the mawkish sentimental bullshit, and simply pose the question, who is the most fluid M.C, the answer is RAKIM. Even if you listen to his latest material, his delivery is peerless, you can freebase the shit off your speakers, and when it comes to off-the-dome freesftyle, I've seen him, albeit respectfully, shred mC's with less than a shrug. Love Nas, but The Leader Leads, no doubt!
best rappers not in order 1nas 2rakim 3llcoolj just because he has lasted this long 4jayz 5biggie 6bigpun 7koolgrap 8em 9jadakiss 10drake is up there only because wat hes done in this short time n to be honest he can be deep 11mobbdeep nuff said 12rakweon ghostface 13mosdef as a matter of fact black star 14scarface 15twista because he cannot be emulated n is in the guiness world record book thats it everyone else comes kinda close to 16 or not close at all
@wickedwordpLay ok your dumb!! em is better than nas and rakim??? wth are u smoking man??? em maybe better than nas.. but even in a million years... even if he makes a song that sells 10000000 billion... em will never be on the same level as rakim... he is on the peak of everest looking down on eminem who is still on sea level... no one can out run rakim on lyrics.. flow.. and ease of delivery... i love eminem but lets face it... he will never reach rakim!!
Listen to real eminem. Not the mainstream shit. Em is the illest rapper ever and his rhyme schemes are way more complex than rakims. He tells a story better and can express emotion better aswell. Rakim doesnt have shit on Em or Nas. Simple as that.
@wickedwordpLay ok now you are deff on crack bro!! ive been listening to eminem for like 7 years now! but he will never reach rakim on flow... lyrics and easy!!!
etc. Nas cant compare to Em. Known fact among real hip hop heads that know about the technical side of hip hop. Hate all you want but listen to those songs.
@wickedwordpLay you are lying bitch so stfu you re like eminem is the best because he made infinite ->LOL(THAT TRACK WAS POINTLESS LIKE ANY SONG FROM EMINEM
Nas cant touch ems flow or multiple syllables. Em can tell a story AND rap nonstop without a chorus or any breaks. You guys dont know shit about hip hop. Its really sad.
jay z >>>>>eminem (even jay is better) canibus killed your idol in the beef they had you freebasing bitch
(8 mile???lol)you got problems kid eminems rap is abstract without any message inside his voice is boring and he is one of the wickest freestylers ever
@xhoni123456 You definitely dont know all the aspects that make a true MC. I bet you cant even write decent lyrics because YOU DONT KNOW what decent lyrics are. Untill you're able to write something good you have no credibility to judge. You dont know complexity. End of story. dickriding uneducated faggot.
@wickedwordpLay im a rapper motherfucker and i would kill you in a freestyle battle /anyway when i knew eminem you were probably were listening to michael jackson or something SO YOU CAN SUCK EMINEM S DICK SOMEWHERE ELSE STUPID MOTHERFUCKER
@xhoni123456 ahahahaha drop somethin pussy. Let me see if you know what complex lyrics are. Because if you cant write them you cant judge anything. Only experienced writers and rappers can judge the lyrical aspect. If you dont know about it then you sound retarded.
Eminem is way better than Nas in the technical aspect. His multis and rhyme schemes are the best. That's his style, he doesnt need a catchy beat. He lets his words do the talking.
@wickedwordpLay Em is shit 2 good albums one so so album and the rest are shit. Nas has Illmatic, Stillmatic, It was written, Gods son and hip hop is dead nuf said
@gopher8729 wow you're a complete idiot. If we're talking lyrically Eminem is way better. But Nas has that old school vibe so they're both good depending on what type of aspect you look for. Eminem is more diverse, has more flows, can freestyle better, more albums sold, has entered and won real rap battle championships, bigger fanbase, can be humorous, serious, angry etc
Em displays emotion way better.
Em is more of a complete MC. Learn the facts and dont come at me with half ass shit.
@wickedwordpLay 1st record sales dont mean shit lil wayne sold more than rakim and rakim is 100000X better. pac and nas are the 2 best story telling rappers. All em raps about Fuck Kim im going to kill her. Em can freestyle and has wittier punchlines but nas has the charisma, ryhming ability and because he can write a diss song like no one else. HE RAPED JAY-Z
@wickedwordpLay Dont get me wrong em is good but as an overall package nas is more connected with the streets and has a much better rhyming vocabulary that em cant touch.
@gopher8729 More connected with the streets? Em connects more to PEOPLE! streets dont mean shit. Em is more diverse, has more flows, better songs, displays emotion better, better multis, etc.
END OF STORY! Em is a more complete MC. He has all the aspects that Nas lacs.
@wickedwordpLay WHAT PEOPLE the ones who beat there wives and make themselves sound like there miserable. recovery and relapse both sucked dick and the last two nas albums were at least decent he is now all pop and if u want to talk about freestlyeing listen to big L, cannabis hell listen to dumbfounded they can do it and besides for L they all are so to shit nas also tells a story about the projects probably someone where ur pussy ass is to afraid to go.
@gopher8729 Your reasoning is fucking retarded. Being from the projects or any of that wack shit doesnt make you better. Em is better end of story so go cut yourself in a corner pussy. Em will DESTROY Nas if they got on a track. Em is deeper than the ghetto streets bullshit. LOL you need to learn what lyricism is you ignorant bitch.
Nas is too one dimensional. Only retards with no knowledge of lyricism thinks hes better.
@wickedwordpLay Im not going to fight w anymore ur just to stupid it actually hurts to talk reply to me when em comes out with a single that doesnt suck dick
@gopher8729 yeah that's what i thought. I came with facts and you came with "from the streets" shit hahah you're an idiot plain and simple. Get your act together lil bitch boy.
@wickedwordpLay I tried to b friendly but ur a massive cocksucker u no nothing about rap u think that eminem is good he hasent had a good hit mockingbird he has gone pop on all of us and ur two stupid to get so y dont u and your white supremacist ass off this video and go back to ur trailer park
@gopher8729 I write raps and trust me Eminem is the best at syllable rhyming. If YOU can write somethin better than me than i'll respect your opinion. I can rap better, so i know more about hip hop. You dont know shit about the aspects of hip hop. fucking faggot.
Fake ass thug. get off that "hood "shit, that's garbage. ahaha
@wickedwordpLay you are the epiitimy off white trash u dont deserve to live let alone listen to hip hop. U probably rap like lil wayne who sux bigger cox than u do. All eminem is a so-so rapper that is the white mans only claim to fame in a black mans game. get thist video it is comparing 2 god like emcees and u bring up this shit rapper I cant believe still saying u r the whitest thing on earth.
@xhoni123456 LOL shut up. I never go by that. Eminem is just more skilled in rapping. You dont know rap too well, get back to your fake gun rappers that have shitty flows and cant rhyme more than 1 syllable Ahaha Eminem is way more versatile in all aspects.
@BiggieSmalls11111 Nas has the old school vibe that people seem to think is the best, when it isnt. It's nice but im talking LYRICALLY. Eminem is better
His flow is way more diverse than Nas's slow ass flow with not as much complexity.
@wickedwordpLay hah all that because i said in your opinion?? hahah whatever faggot and no you couldnt name 10 rappers better because it would still be your opinion you fuckin cock sucker...i hope your eyes roll to the back of your head and you die in your sleep pussy
@wickedwordpLay you realize rakim literally invented multis and the entire science of intelligent rap and that nas and az practically patented the flow eminem used on the entire infinite tape? i agree em's one of the all time greatest but don't be so ignorant and disrespectful. you speak too lightly of the two greatest MCs of all time. Nas, Rakim, BDK, KRS, Notorious, Tupac, and LL all come before Em. If CL Smooth and Lupe had more material, I'd even consider them before Em.
Best rappers 1.Rakim 2.Nas. 3.Young Maylay 4.Jay Z 5.Snoop Dogg 6.Eazy E 7.Dr Dre 8.The game 9.50 cent 10.Bigge 11.2pac 13.Mc Ren 14.Ice Cube 15.Sugar Hill gang
@wickedwordpLay how is it a horrible list? these ppl are real rappers why? u'd rather go for present day rap right now? all songs that arent actually rap
@janirwin16 WORST LIST I"VE EVER SEEN! No Eminem?? He lyrically shits on everyone. And Sugar Hill Gang isnt a rapper. You obviously have no taste in hip hop.
Eminem, 2Pac, Nas, Rakim, Kool G Rap, DMX, Big L, Biggie, Immortal Technique, Big Pun, Tech N9ne, and Chino XL Are all real rappers.
Most of your list is mainstream garbage. Eazy E had ghostwriters. Dr. Dre ISNT a rapper (he sucks) 50 Cent is mainstream trash etc.
@wickedwordpLay2 THOSE are real rappers u faggot u dont know what rap is ask everyone around! their all real rap eazy e was godfather dr dre was gangsta at rap 50 cent and the game were working together and all fans of real rap loved him sugar hill gang was the inventor of rap and all the stuff u just said were in my list
@janirwin16 50 cent sucks, Sugar Hill Gang is a GROUP not a rapper dumb bitch. Dr Dre has GHOSTWRITERS and he's more of a prducer than rapper. Eazy E also had ghostwriters, are you that fucking dumb?? Learn about hip hop before creating a shitty list.
ur words are goodbut not as smart the way u acutiually are. 50 cent is trying to to save rap and if u actually hear 50 cent u will notice that he didnt put fucking auto tune in his rap like what the other present day rappers do! sugar hill gang is a group but i said Rapper(s) not rappe(r)
@janirwin16 wow you are so uneducated about hip hop its ridiculous. 50 Cent is GARBAGE and he cant save rap because he sucks. Underground is where the real hip hop is and it's never died out.
All im saying is your list seems like you only listen to mainstream rap and just follow other peoples opinions. That is no where near what the list should really be. 50 cent isnt even in the top 100 rappers and that's fact. His lyricism is shit.
@wickedwordpLay2 u dont get it do u? 50 cent is one of the straight g'sta rap im not talking about hip hop im talking of rap man what do u know about rap anyways? And just accept the damn fact that my list is only an opinion when u said that real rap is minem, 2Pac, Nas, Rakim, Kool G Rap, DMX, Big L, Biggie, Immortal Technique, Big Pun, Tech N9ne, and Chino XL u need to read the list again motherfucker cuz there all there
@janirwin16 ik niggaz like u are just jealos of 50 cent bc hes too good better than wayne or drake with his nonauto tune rap flowing with the game and shit ppl like need to know that my "list" is my "opinion" who knows maybe other ppl have different list and i just go with it not some dickhead who comments out of no where saying this list is shit and saying that he jealous of eazy e,dr dre and 50 cent
Nas would never battle Ra. Ra is Nas mentor. That's the whole reason he did the unauthorized biography of Rakim. Notice that when Rakim said he didn't appreciate the fact that Nas did that track, Nas didn't come at Ra's neck. Why? That's not a war he'd ever win. He'd lose the battle and any respect that ra had left for him.
@RelaxednCaIm OK. Not saying Rakim is without his flaws. What I'm saying is that the fact that Rakim is Nas' mentor/inspiration is the reason why he would never put himself in the position to battle the man. He respects him too much.
yeah, rakim definately is a head of nas on the straight lyrical tip, no doubt. but to me nas is a better all around. kool g rap is more of a mentor to nas then rakim. nas was hangin in g rap's crib making tracks back in 91.
@RelaxednCaIm The part where you said G Rap is more of a mentor than Rakim to Nas, and that Nas sounded more like G Rap. I remember reading something a while back, saying G Rap introduced Nas to DJ Serch? Which helped him get famous? You hear anything like that?
i don't even think nas sounds like rakim at all. tragedy khadafi was obviously the base for the lyrical rap in queensbridge. nas claims cats was stealin his style, cormega says nas stole his style, both of them got their shit from tragedy.lol and i've seen an interview where g rap was talking about nas, he said something like that.
@Soulfide:Not true, Rakim's sagacity and lyrical deepness is recognised universally, and those in the industry - in the "game"- would tell you this also.
MrJazzHOP 3 months ago 37
@fullyfunked Rakim out ranks nas, it was crazy not only a few days later after fully funked told me to try listening to rakim more clearly i realized how effortlessly he was rapping the 18th letter. it was almost like he thought of those words together as easily as you and i speak simple conversations to each other. Rakim holds the crown but i still love my brotha Nas.
yoedgar17 3 months ago 4

The12Jacob 4 months ago
Lyrical ability (metaphors, wordplay, etc.) - Rakim no doubt "He's so much in love with his bread the beef is nothing" fucking genious
Flow- i take nas just cus rakim seems to have the same tone and flow throughout all his songs.
Inspiration- there equal. Rakim paved the way for the art of emceeing, but illmatic is probably one of the top 3 hip hop albums ever and changed rap for the 90's
-point is, there both godly just stop arguing and listen to the messages theyre spitting

young128 5 months ago
i understand that rakim is undoubtably in the top 5 but theres no question, nas is the better lyricist, metaphor utiliser, story teller and has the better flow, on top of that, he has brought to us the 2 best albums in hip hop history: illmatic and it was written. it was written is the moat underrated album ever to grace this earth
Rob1Esco 5 months ago
pretty even but i'll go with rakim on this one
Anerd8 5 months ago
@fullyfunked Anyways you speak about rakim like you already know the outcome of every future battle he goes into. That's just ignorant, expect the unexpected, no way to know the talent of every MC (past or present) to be able to compare them all to rakim and say he's unbeatable. Just saying don't be so narrow minded.
gigo112 5 months ago
@fullyfunked It seems like your not trying to leave any room for debate though. Yea opinions are here for the videos but I reasoned yours were biased because i seen all the videos you went on claiming rakim god. I had to jump to the conclusion that you were some sort of fan boy. Anyways your right, you have the right to comment as much as you want on any video supporting the artist you love the most.
gigo112 5 months ago
@fullyfunked What I'm trying to say is your opinions are biased. Let people leave their opinions; as soon as you see someone leaning towards favor of nas, you start trying to shut them down going on and on about how rakim is god. These videos were put up for everyone to enjoy and comment on. You may say rakim is Goat but I can also say Nas is Goat; that's what opinions are for.
gigo112 5 months ago
@fullyfunked WE GET IT YOU LOVE RAKIM, now you can stop going to all the rakim vs rappers videos and stop dick ridding rakims body. peace bitch
gigo112 5 months ago
Nas is the greatest of all time, what the fuck you doing putting One Mic and I Ain't No Joke on this comparision? Don't get me wrong they are both ill tracks but if you want as good as a comparison as can be, make it NY State of Mind vs. Lyrics of Fury. Then we got a fucking debate, yo.

to me nas is better . nas is not only good in lyrics , but in the punchlines, flow and rhymes too , listen to "nasty" and "it ain't hard to tell" , it's full in amazing punchlines , specially at the end , and you should check out his verses in verbal intercourse and live at the bbq you will find how good is he in flow , and many others like nas is like , one mic and" you're da man" proofs that he is da best , rakim is for damn sure is great emcee i like the both
Haider94Ali 7 months ago
nas is better
jayd4ever 7 months ago
Nas maybe took Rakim's style to another level, BUT Nas made Illmatic (a masterpiece) and after that he fell off. Rakim has way more classics and he was a father to Nas' style, so I'd say Rakim. He put out more classics, although Illmatic is better than all of Ra's album. A classic is a classic and Rakim has at least 4 classics.

MrCommenterguy 8 months ago
Nas had the flow of Rakim, but Rakims lyrics were just a little better, but i like Nas's music better.

Em displays emotion way better.

@RelaxednCaIm I feel you. Maybe mentor was a bad word, but, he definitely looks up to the man.

what part?

@RelaxednCaIm The part where you said G Rap is more of a mentor than Rakim to Nas, and that Nas sounded more like G Rap. I remember reading something a while back, saying G Rap introduced Nas to DJ Serch? Which helped him get famous? You hear anything like that?

@cormegaful
i don't even think nas sounds like rakim at all. tragedy khadafi was obviously the base for the lyrical rap in queensbridge. nas claims cats was stealin his style, cormega says nas stole his style, both of them got their shit from tragedy.lol and i've seen an interview where g rap was talking about nas, he said something like that.
