D40 is best for studio shoot because it is the ONLY camera that can sync to flash/strobe units up to 1/500 shutter speed. So is D70/s so that is why d40 is a beauty

the d40 was succeeded by the d40x then the d60 then the d3000. they should know this.

The D90 was released in 2008.

the Nikon d40 has only 6 MPx sensor. i presume you thought of the d40X who in fact has a 10 MPx sensor..
