if you play gw for the role playing like it was advertised, you are really missing out. lvl cap-20, can't jump, cant move over some terrain, no mounts, armor is very limited, and YOU CANT SEE PEOPLE OUTSIDE OF TOWN.

WoW: seamless world, much larger map to visit, seems like real world, mounts, lvl cap higher, Auction house, more variety.

i used to be a gw guy and ithought id never go to wow.

and to the "grind argument" you can do instances and quest like the 90% of wow

Actually, instances with 'no people outside town' are great thing - no ninjas stealing loot or kills, no waiting for boss to respawn, no lags.. only you, enemy and your skil.

yes but this cuts a big chunk of social interaction out of the game... and leaves a calm, boring environment

in WoW, you don't really wait for bosses to spawn in zones... u go to instances and raids for that

to address the lag point: im pretty sure right now WoW's system specs are equivalent to gw's, if not somewhat lower. the only places that lag are in major cities, if your computer isnt par to the system reqs.

I suppose you're right. I never played WoW so it's hard to tell for me. I just wanted to say that instances aren't as bad as many WoW players think.

Anyway, comparing free2play and pay2play games isn't smart thing to do: it's obvious, that Blizzard has much more money to add things and severs can hold much more data. Which game you play is just personal preference, and as we say in Poland: people should not discuss about other people taste.

haha...i played gw too but the idea that u cant see ppl outside of towns just ruins the game....its an MMORPG u ARE soppostu interact with ppl and it just limits the game...even though u can see ppl if ur in grps doesent rly give u the feeling of being ONLINE.

lol? you guys argue over guilds wars and wow? well first of, you can tell from my name i use to play guild wars. I was actually awesome at it, and i loved it. Depends ALOT on the server in WoW i switched from wow (Ravencrest EU) to Guild Wars cause i HATE all the small kids .. Atleast when they play i do.

But ye WoW has won the price of Best game of the year. BECAUSE So many have voted for it since there is alot more playing Wow than gw.

I have both games and Do you know what kind of people play WoW? The answer is: Pedofiles and little nerds who have nothing else to do in life. If you play WoW, I bet thats all you do, nothing else, no sport, no friends. whereas, on the other hand, Guild Wars, I dont see many pedo's, They're not all nerds and It actually is better. WoW has random quests and bad graphics.

Yeah, For some reason when i removed all the thingys like the minimap and stuff (with crtl+shift+h) i couldnt target anything. So i had to do it the hard way O.O But yeah at least it worked out eventualy ^^
