Hello DES. I'm from Michigan here. I noticed in the Talk to Sara segment you said the second person can open the bottle "straight away". I've never heard anyone say it that way. In the U.S. we would say "right away" but that might just be an American English thing. Love the show, good work.Peace.
Hi, thanks for the comment. That's interesting, I'd never thought about that before. In NZ I think people say both, but usually straight away. I just found a page on Wikipedia called: "List of words having different meanings in British and American English" and it says in American English straightaway means: a straight (in a road, racecourse, etc.) Interesting.
I still feel that sarah talk a bit fast for me and common learner. However i am getting used to it day by day. No need to talk faster. I don't feel interested in politic especially for studying English.
Agree that Sarah doing great work, very useful and i follow it everyday. It is my main source studying English.
I love the contain of each lession, love your work and love you, Sarah.
my god i fell asleep to that, do you have to make it so boring?? and why dont you talk faster?? my god, did you ever think about going into politics? c'mon im depressed after watching that......... lighten it up a bit...
Hi Martin :) I talk a bit slower than usual because this is a show for helping people learn English. Some people think I still talk too fast. No, I'm not interested in going into politics. Sorry to hear about your depression ... try watching The Onion, that always makes me laugh.
