Well, I knew a few weeks before the event that L4D would be playable there, so I had some time to prepare myself. I was still amped up enough to hurdle over other attendees so as to be the first in line to play, though. =)

As of today (July 10th) there's still no official release date. ETA is just "when it's done"... though the devs at the booth made it sound like this year was a pretty sure thing.

Is there ragdoll physics? I can see death animations, but when the infected fall down from a building it looks like ragdoll.

I was asking about that myself- if I recall correctly the game does use ragdoll physics combined with a buttload of other animation layers.

oh yeah i have a question. How much ammo are you given. I dont wanna know exactly how much but is it alot to go all gun ho or to really have to ration it?

Your experience may vary from mine, but it seemed well balanced. You're kept short enough to keep you ammo-conscious, but not to the degree that you're continually worried about it...

That was the glowing silouette of another player. Occasionally you will be able to see a bright silouette of other players in your party through walls, stairwells, etc. It helps situaional awareness.

It also appeared that if you're playing as a boss-infected (as only the developers were during the demo), you can see all 4 human players through the entire map at all times. This allows you to stalk them more easily and plan sneak attacks, etc.

However, this was not a final build of the game, so maybe the developers just had this feature enabled for the "zombie team" to scare the F outta players a little more easily during the demo...

Really? I asked the developers from Turtle Rock Studios who were there in the booth, and it was pretty clear I was training my camera on the screen, so I figured it was OK...

asuasuukmur- I agree totally. All the publicly available media on L4D looks... cooked.  It doesn't really give you a feeling of what the game's really like.

Lemme tell you from firsthand experience... addictive. I can see this thing becoming VERY popular. Not only has the world been at a loss for a real CO-OP game for a while now, but this thing does CO-OP better than I've ever seen it done.
