Some of these comments are retarded. I'm as big a Flyers fan as anyone, but the Wings just flat out smoked us in 97. And Steve Yzerman especially is worthy of all praise. (I get chills when I hear people compare Mike Richards to him- we can only hope!)

BTW.. Thanks so much to Bob Clarke for his stubborness to see what Europeans could contribute to a team. It only took him till 2004 to add 3 playmaking Russians and, lo and behold, they were 3 of our best players in leading us to the CF. Ugh.

Yeah, we could only wonder just how much better Konstantinov would've been. I really think it was entirely possible that he could not only top his +/- rating of +62 but also be the first Russian to win the Norris Trophy for best defenseman.
