I just installed the sprint booster on my M3 E46, it is an amazing kit!, making the car much more responsive and it was already quite responsive except at low rev. With that kit, it is now more than perfect for city driving and motorway. I strongly recommend it.
Yes, your wallet will be lighter, and you didn't gain any performance that you couldn't have just gotten by pressing the gas pedal down more in the first place.
@jjprices I see this sort of cr@p on forums all the time from people who have never tried one. Sharper throttle response cannot be replicated by a heavy foot - thats why its called "responsiveness", its not the amount of gas, its the feel of the pedal, the level of sensitivity. Driving a car with a not-too-sensitive throttle is unsatisfying, no matter how heavy your foot is.
@bigjode You see this "cr@p" on the forums because those people actually understand what this product is doing, unlike you. It is simply a DC voltage amplifier. Nothing less, nothing more. It cannot change any "delay" introduced in the DBW system that is due to ECU maps and calibration. Nada, zip.. it's impossible. Suggesting otherwise simply shows a complete lack of understanding of how the DBW system works.
@jjprices Who cares how simple it is? It does what it says the tin doesn't it? There are no lies here - it simply amplifies the voltage as you say, but in doing that it means less pedal travel for more gas. That is increased sensitivity, which as I say, is exactly what a lot of people like. I understand the science, but if I like the effect of the product, what can you do?
I definiteley prefer an ECU remapping instead!

Notice there are no track comparisons? 1/4 mile results will tell more.

What a BS product! Over $300 bucks for a few wires, connectors, and a chip. Talk about rip off.

one thing the sprint booster website hasn't mentioned is how this device works with a turbo charged car

Any drawbacks disadvantages of installing a sprint booster?

It will probably confuse DSC when it's activated. But other than that it doesn't really affect anything else.
