Stupid comparison only being made because of mainstream Rap artists. In Hiphop culture there is music, also called Hiphop. Rapping is what Hiphop emcees do. They rap to Hiphop music. The only reason true Hiphop heads started hatin' on "rap" was because the focus of mainsteam music turned soley on the rapper. People forgot about the breakers, the writers, the producers etc, and so rappers had their own little "rap" culture.
